a status like "checking" to change to date format when completed
I am creating a DB that is for Tracking engineering drawings.
I want to have a status field that has the following
1. not started
2. in process
3. in checking
4 complete / Date completed
Is it possible to have the complete status change to a date somehow?
I want to avoid having two fields, a status field and a complete field
I would suggest that you may want to change that to have four date fields.
That way you can easily check its status in the process and get a complete

I know this is going to sound dumb but this really bugs me.
When I copy a cell(s), the copied area is highlighted with "marching
ants". Seems that after pasting, the "marching ants" around the source
area should go away, but it doesn't. The only way I can get rid of the
"marching ants" around the source is to click like a madwoman in a cell
adjacent to the ants. Sometimes when I do that though, the clicking goes
awry and I get stuck in a tangle that is very hard to explain, but the
only way out is to close the workbook without saving and then re-open it...get the latest day of the previous month

the cell "A1" (or any cell) will be the cell that the
original date will be in. just add in the 6 after the MONTH
(A1) to get your new date

...Using Remove History to delete old financial data
My company would like to remove financial data from 1995-1999 on our SQL

to delete the data? Thanks for all help in advance.
Hi I know POS can't accept deposits nor layaways. My question is, has anyone
figured out a procedural workaround for this?
I am in the same boat as you are. I have a brand new "unsable" POS because
there is no way to have a lay away...
Is there a work around or should I stay with my old POS?

I am using MS Money 2005 Small Business v.22.214.171.1245. Here is a
description of my problem:

obligation with Citibank account number X is closed after a number of
successful payments. After some time, I incur a new debt with Citibank, this
time with account number "Y" (a different accoutn because it is a different
financial obligation). I set up a new payee as "Citibank" with account number
"...Sorting dates, ignoring year
I have a speadsheet of birthdays which I would like to change to be
birthdates. At the moment, everyone's birthdays are specified on one column
in the format dd/mm/2002 so that I can sort the worksheet to keep the dtaes
in order throughout the year.
Is there an easy way to sort a column of dates but ignore the year? Or do I
need to split the dates into multiple columns?
You could split the dates into separate columns:
(you wouldn't use the year column)

I have a database with employee birthdays. (I enter all the birthdays as

happens that 2007 had the same calendar as 1900 so I didn't realize I wasn't
pulling the day of the week the birthday falls for the current year.
Is there an expression I need to build or a particular format I need to set?
I was using the number format dddd, mm/dd.

Is there any way to purge old data from a pivot table? I modified th

I recently upgraded from exchange 5.5 to 2003
Everything seems to be ok except for when I want to decommission my exchange 5.5 server. I have stopped the exchange services on the 5.5 server to see what would happen. When I do this, a few outlook clients cannot see the Global address list
I think that they were looking at the GAL on the old Ex55 server because they could not see some of the new users who were added in AD since the migration. Now when I shut Ex 55 down they do not get any address list. They can send & recieve email and view public folders though

Has anyone installed Outlook 2003 on Windows 7? If yes, does it work
properly? I just bought a new PC with Windows 7 and do not want to purchase

Some people have said Outlook 2003 is not compatible with Windows 7 but
there isn't any official information from Microsoft about this.
If you want an email program (basic but really good) then Windows Live Mail
could be the answer (this is also Microsoft free program) .

What's the best way to create a custom calendar and retain the formatting?
The address lines and the logo are determined by your personal information. Look
under Edit, the personal information is the very last item in the menu.

One option is to just go into Fiscal Period setup and change the year to
reflect the dates of your short year. Set up the next year to have the
remaining months and just go from there. Your 'year' id will be 1 year ahead,
but your reports will be correct.
