Images in email signatures .... again!

Using Windows 7 / Windows Live.
I can create .html file containing text and images (logo) exactly as I want
it to appear as email signature, yet when tagging it as "signature" from
Tools/Options/Signatures tab, the text has now got double line returns and
the images have red crosses. Looked at the forums and tried a few things but
nothing seems to solve it. Please help - bit annoying having to insert jpgs
and reformat the prose.....

My guess is that you used Word to compose the html.
Post the code. X out any personal info.

Open the HTML file in NOTEPAD (not MS Word) and take a look at it.

A basic business card with logo would look something like

<DIV>
<FONT face="Times New Roman" size=4>
<IMG alt="" hspace=0 src="C:\pics\logo.jpg" align=baseline border=0><BR>
Name<BR>
Company Name<BR>
Address<BR>
Phone Number<BR>
</FONT></DIV>

You must use the full path to any images.

If you see <BR><BR> change to to <BR> in order to eliminate the double
spacing.

You're right , Ron, but what do you mean "post the code" and "x (delete???)
personal info" ?

Hi Michael, I can view source code direct from html file or open html in
notepad. But for a six line salutation and two jpgs making up the entire
signature creates a 948 line code!!! What?! (900 lines are "font definitions"
not even used).

I don't see any <BR><BR> though but </p> at the ends of lines. I can delete
all these extra lines but I still have the problem about saving as .html -
Notepad only allows saving as .txt files and WLM signature of .txt files has
no images!

When you get to 'Save As' in Notepad, in the second box - Save as type -
select 'All files' from the dropdown. Then put sig1.html in the first -
File name - box. Leave the third alone.

Thanks to Ron: I have rewritten the html source based on your minicode example.
Thanks to Michael: I eventually substituted your <br> suggestion for the
</p> which was the code putting double returns in.
Thanks to Ildhund: for confirming how to save notepad as html.
WLM signature issue is also now sorted completely - I'm off to bed!

Viewing of HTML Email Content w/ Embedded Images
Currently, we are receiving email feed into our application via POP3. What we would like to do is to view (and possibly work with) HTML emails, including those with embedded images, without having to save anything to disk, or any other "messy" operations. Reason being that some of our clients have restrictive disk access policies.
