Auto-update Fill Series in column that has randomly spaced blank c
Hi, I have a worksheet of projects listed by quarter. A cell (say A6) contains QTR 1, followed by cells in column A filled with a series (1,2,3...say up to 12). Then comes a blank row followed by a row containing words "QTR 2" and then the fill series continues from where it left under QTR 1 i.e. 13,14,15...say up to 18. And so on for QTR 3 and QTR 4. When a new project is added, I want to be able to add a row and with minimal steps, want the fill series below this added new project, to update. When I delete a row (project), I want the fill series to automatically ...

Spell Check 02-07-10

Do no allow GP windows in 10.0 to act as separate applications
Do no allow GP windows in 10.0 to act as separate applications. This is a very annoying change in version 10.0. If I open 5 windows in GP and then go to a different application such as Outlook, when I go back to GP, I have to click on every one of my windows in the task bar in order to have them show again. It's a lot of wasted mouse clicks. Windows Live Mssenger contacts
This happened just a few weeks ago. I signed in my WLM, the latest one, with MSN PLus and MSN Discovery, and instead of showing my contacts offline contacts nicknames, it shows their email. This never happened even after I had installed MSN Discovery and MSN Plus, which was in October-November 2009. Greetings Mark, This will happen if the local cached store of Messenger data has been removed. They will once again show properly when they appear online (so it can retrieve the display name again) and continue to appear when they're offline. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MV...

Windows XP Service Pack 3 & KB 925877
I've just spent hours on trying to get SP3 to install on a Windows XP Professional machine and only now stumbled across the article stating that it won't install when "RDP 6.0 MUI Pack KB925877" has been installed previously. I've installed XP SP3 literally dozens of times over the years and this is the first time I've ever seen or heard of this problem; I only discovered it by downloading the standalone version of the Service Pack and trying to install it - all the other times it just failed without any informative error messages that I'm aware of. ...

Can MS-outlook cache email address in "send to" area?
Hi I'm wondering if outlook can memorize the email address I have used or those in address book as what outlook express does. It's pretty convinient to type in the first letters of email address in "to.." area and automatically apend the rest. I appreciate if you can give me answer. Thanks. -Yi Zhang In Outlook, choose Tools - Options. In the Preferences tab choose Email Options. Select Advanced E-Mail Options. Check the box that states "Suggest names while completing To, CC, and Bcc Fields." Hopefully that helps. >-----Original Message-----...

Pocket Money 2006 Compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0?
I just bought a Dell Axim X51V, which I like other than the fact that the new 4.1 release of Activesync "breaks" Nortel VPN connections --- ---and--- It seems as if pocket money 2006 is incompatible with WM 5.0. Anyone know if a fix is on the Microsoft drawing board? Kenny Hey Kenny, I'm having the same problem with my PPC 6700. Have you gotten anywhere on this? Windows Live Messenger sign-up started popping up ASA I log in. How could I stop it? Thx Greetings, I assume you mean with Windows startup? When it pops up, just hit the Alt key on the keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choose Tools, then Options, Sign In category and uncheck 'Automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I log on to Windows' then click OK. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com (c) 2010 Jonath...

Font Size in Windows 7
Hello all, I've just reinstalled my laptop with Windows 7 and Office 2007. When I run Dynamics GP, the font size of all labels, fields and buttons looks to be about 2pts bigger than it should be - at a guess 10pt MS Sans Serif rather that 8pt. I've checked the DPI settings - it's definately set to 96dpi (which is labeled 100% in Windows 7), so I can pretty much rule that out. I've tried setting the theme to Windows Classic, and various compatibility settings as well - all had no effect. Has anybody else encountered this / know the solution? Cheers, Andr...

Office 2008 updates too problematic
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel After hours and hours of frustrating work trying most of the suggestions on these forums to get updates to install, I finally have the simplest of solutions: Don't even entertain the novel concept you need or want a custom install of Office. That's it. That's the new rule. DON'T CUSTOMIZE YOUR MAC (or at least not your Mac Office) !! I know, I know. Like me, some of you may THINK you don't need Portugese Proofing Tools and you may actually PREFER not to load Microsoft Messenger, but trust me, YOU'...

Automatically update pivot table when switching to sheet that the pivot table is in
What would the code be to automatically refresh a pivot table when you open the sheet that the pivot table is in? Today, I changed data in the sheet that the pivot table draws from and forgot to refresh the pivot table. Fortunately, I caught my error in time and refreshed the table before I gave it to the boss. I would like the pivot table to refresh whenever I switch to the sheet that the pivot table is in. I am running Microsoft Vista 32bit sp1. I had to replace hard drive due to problems when computer was made. I tried to reload Vista with the OS disc and the pc is showing that it is a blank dvd, but its the same disc that came with the pc from dell.
