Reverse engineering from a .exe file is going to be difficult unless,
perhaps, you have a debug version with all of the source, but :o)

My guess is that the file is encrypted for a reason and the author probably
doen't want it opened otherwise. The easiest way to go, in my opinion, is
to contact the author and see if they will give you the encryption algorithm
or routines that allow you access to the file if you have a legitimate use
for the information.

=R[-1]C fails
I have a worksheet with some cells in a column blank. Where that happens I want to replace the blank with whatever is in the cell directly above, at least within a range. I've looked around here and in Excel Programming and there seems to be an idea to put the formula "=R[-1]C" in those blank cells. I try, but I still get the formula even when I F9. If I use "=" followed by the id for the cell above it works, but not this relative addressing. Any thoughts appreciated. You need to be in R1C1 view for this, Tools>Options>General. MFC71 in Visual C++ 2005
Hi, I'm working on a program which was previously compiled on VC++ 2003 using MFC71, it compiles well on VC++ 2005 using MFC80. I'm wondering if there is a way to still use MFC71 and compile/link against this latest on instead of MFC80. Thanks for any Hint. Rgds. Overall, this usually results in serious problems, because you have to redirect so much to make it work. This is very difficult or impossible. Otherwise,we'd all be using VS6 and compiling with the VS2008 compiler. joe On Wed, 22 Oct 2008 10:36:22 -0700, jasmo68 <jasmo68@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: ...

Hi, sometimes i get a runtime error named "pure virtual function call" from the executable "iexplore.exe". i use a lot of dhtml technology and javascript inside my website i.e. it depends heavily on scripting. but i think it has something to do with the transition technology build-in the ie that i use (Interpage Transition with directx). Ctrl+C
Hi, I am trying to get selected text from active window. I used 3 different ways for this: 1. keybd_event 2. sendinput 3. sendmessage with WM-COPY. I want to copy selected text to the clipboard by using Ctrl+C. It works fine for notepad but not office word or I.E... What should I use instead of simulating the keystroke? Thanks.... The answer is, in general, you can't. The SendMessage (better: PostMessage) of WM_COPY to the correct window (note that in Word, sending this to the top-level frame doesn't do any good because the top-level frame doesn't have any text selected) is p...

output.c error in multithreaded program
Hi, My multithreaded program is occasionally crashing. I tend to get several types of crashes (I think) as the call stack often looks different and I'm finding them a real pain to track down Anyway the "current" one crashes in output.c. When I look at the file description it states **** DOESN'T CURRENTLY DO MTHREAD LOCKING **** So, how do I get around this? I'm not sure where output.c is called in my program - this is the earliest entry on the call stack (it goes from top to bottom earliest bottom right?) I have not changed anything on the server recently other than the fact the recent Microsoft security updates were installed. If I restart IIS, it will drop to normal for a while.
