How do I open .dbx files saved from my computer in outlook
I have a number of .dbx files I saved on an external hard drive just before
my computer died. How do I open them on my new computer. It has Vista and
office outlook 2007

I have several files in a folder most of them are CVs in word format, I want
to create a query or access program to get the subject with some criteria -
If I search for a particular Text, that should check and matching file name
and also inside the word file.
I tried google desktop search, coppernic search and even the MS Search - but
nothing helped in a way I want.
I appreciate your valuable time.
To develop a bespoke Access application will take much effort and involve
using Windows APIs. I suggest you don't want to do this.

Hello all. So I have this application. It's a MDI doc/view one. The
main doc/view works perfectly. Now, I want to add other doc/views. How
can I accomplish that?
I read something about adding more templates with AddDocTemplate, but
this seems right when the document is file based (which is not the
case, it is database based) so the doc manager knows which template to
load according to the file extension.
So the question, how can I create a view with its document in a
CMainFrame's method (as a reaction to a menu command)?

To create it, click File>Open>Outlook Data File. Browse to the folder where
you want it, give it a name, and click OK. Then to select it for your
default delivery, click Tools>E-mail accounts>View or change existing e-mail

I have created a design in Publisher 2002, A3 size with
TIFF images inserted. The Publisher file size is a hefty
8Mb due to the image sizes. The reason I used TIFF's is
because I can't figure out how to create JPEG images
with transparent backgrounds using MS Digital Image Pro
7. The Publisher file displays and prints O.K. but when
converted to a PDF the images are distorted or missing. I
have tried many different PDF creators without success.
Can't figure out if it is the TIFF's or the size of the

You can open an Excel file with Word, then save it. Word saves as doc files
(if that's what you mean). Be sure to type the doc extension, or Word will
overwrite your original xls file.

I've received a docx file (Word 2007-type). My Word is 2000, so I can't
open it. So I've downloaded a MS converter but when I try to install it,
although it says 'satisfactorily installed' it's nowhere to be found so
that I can actually use it. I would expect it to be listed in All

In a database I use an Open File Dialog to open multiple files using an Array
and then I use the Array to populate a list and process it.
This works great, until I select over 7 files, at which point the array
remains empty without the error handler triggering.
Is there a logical reason and/or solution for this?

After a recent reinstall of WinXP I now have 2 PST files listed. One is my
