Attach a SQL 2005 Express Database to SQL Server 2005

I am trying to attach a database from SQL Express 2005 to SQL Server 2005 and
I am getting the error:

Attach database failed for Server 'xxxxxx'.

An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL Statement or batch.
Could not find row in sysindexes for database ID 6, object ID 1. Run DBCC
CHECKTABLE on sysindexes.
Could not open database 'xxxxxx.mdf'. Create DATABASE is aborted. (Microsoft
SQL Server, Error: 602)

I am not sure how to Run DBCC CHECKTABLE.

My project is halted until I get this resolved. Any help is appreciated.

Make a backup from SQLExpress database, create in SQLServer an empty
database with the same name and then restore backup.

The database you try seems to be corrupt. On the source server (where the
database came from), open a query window and execute:
DBCC CHECKDB(dbname) WITH NO_INFOMSGS

See if you have any error messages. If you do, then it is likely that best
action is to restore that database from a healthy backup, but it depends a
bit on what error you see. If CHECKDB do not return any errors, then I
suggest you instead move the database using BACKUP and RESTORE (but you
don't need to create a database on the destination server in order to
restore, the RESTORE command will do that for you) - or re-try the
detach/attach operation of you don't like BACKUP/RESTORE.

Project Server 2007 Implemenation costs
Hello, I want to implement Project Server for web access to 50 users. We already have MS Project 2007 installed on all PC's running XP operating system. I know I will need a Project Server License and 50 CAL, but what other costs are involved? Thank you. Hi Flyingrat, You'll need to make sure your Project version is Project 2007 Professional. In addition to a Windows Server, you'll also need SQL Server and the relevant SQL CALS, one CAL for each Pro user AND each web user. -- Regards, Ben. "Flyingrat" wrote: > Hello, > > I...

SQL Field Limitations
I understand that there are 8000 character limitations on tables in SQL that affect CRM's ability to extend customizations on any particular object. I also understand that once a field is created in CRM and deleted, that, currently, those characters are not recoverable. Is there any way for me to quickly determine what usage level I am at on a particular object (current and orphaned) via SQL query or otherwise. Thanks in advance. P.S. I did not do the original deployment and am unable to get any info from those who did. deleted? You can't delete a field via CRM,.....you &q...

master and msdb Database Restore
If and why we need to backup master and msdb Database for restoring MS-CRM? thanks in advance Master and msdb are both changed when CRM is installed (logins are added to master, and a few jobs are added to msdb), but should not subsequently change (other than job history in msdb) due to CRM activity. Therefore as a minimum I'd recommend backing them both up after the CRM install, and after any other changes (non-CRM related). As for restoring, you should only need to restore them if the whole SQL server needs to be restored Hope this helps "MaxF." wrote: > If and why...

Excel Database
I'm developing a database in Excel and I need some help with macros. The scenario: It's a database of drink short takes for a bar. Each tab has a different summary category, such as spirits, wines, cocktails, etc... Cells in each summary tab links to a new tab, where the data for that entry is explained (the short take sheets themselves). Short take planner Now, imagine a simple monthly calendar, each cell corresponding to each day of the month that has a drop down list of values to choose from. First, I would like to make this drop down list show data from the...

Moving Servers Across Administrative Groups...
Here's the quick scenario... Exchange 5.5 original site. Exchange 2000 (non-cluster) brought up as first Exchange 2000 server in 5.5 site. (not doing anything) Exchange 2000 cluster brought up. Exchange site name is XXXNTDOMAIN which, in ESM shows up as the name of the First Administrative Group. This doesn't match the logical environment going forward so I was curious if it was possible to do: 1. Rename the XXXNTDOMAIN administrative group to something else? 2. Create a second administrative group and bring up a 2003 cluster at some point in the near future and migrate ...

backup same set of servers from 2 DPM 2007 servers
I am changing the DPM server 2007. However, I would like to take this opportunity to revise all protection groups so that I can restore bare-metal any server from a single lTO-4 tape if possible. During this "transitional period," I would like to leave the existing backup settings on the older DPM server to continue to run while adding jobs to the new DPM server. Looks like to me that I have to re-install the agent on all servers so that they can be recognized by the new DPM server. IS there a better way to do this if my plan is possible at all? Thanks Bill ...

DPM RC 2010 Agent Install on Windows Server 2008 R2

Lost attachments after upgrading Outlook
I found a solution to a problem that must surely be plaguing others: the loss of attachments when upgrading from an earlier version of Outlook to a later version (to Outlook 2000 SP1?). I'm not sure when I lost the attachments, but based on my web sleuthing it seems like it was a result of updating from 2000 to SP1. Anyway, since I couldn't find a solution on the web easily, I'm posting this in hopes that either the page will be indexed by Google or that Microsoft will post a formal fix in its Knowledgebase. Here's the solution: find Outlook Express on your compu...

Entourage loosing connection with server
Greetings All, Situation: At our work we use Entourage to connect to the Exchange server. It's been working great until about a week ago. We're running Office 2008, 12.2.3. Mac's are running 10.6.2. We loose connection with the server (can't receive or send mail). Quitting and restarting Entourage doesn't solve it. What DOES solve it is completely rebooting our Macs. Obviously a pain in the rumpus maximus! Has anyone experienced this? Any thoughts as to solving this? Many thanks in advance for your collective wisdom! Dan a <William.Reed@sbcusd.k12.ca...

There is not enough space on the Exchange Server to store all of your rules.
Here is the problem we are having. We have been doing a server upgrade for a domain. The new and old servers are running Windows NT 4.0 and Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5. The Exchange Server was installed on the old PDC, but according to government standards, it must be located on the new BDC. We used the ExMerge utility to backup all user mailboxes (approximately 130) to a workstation. We then restored the mailboxes to the new BDC where they belonged. All users are able to access their old mail, and all of their old folders. Unfortunately, when some users try to activate the ru...
