Merge Sharepoint lists

Hi, I have several Sharepoint lists.  These lists contain the same types for 
information (for example, name, age, gender, etc) and these columns for each 
list are in the same order.  I would like to merge these lists into one list. 
 Is there something in the standard Sharepoint (ie, not a third-party 
application) that could accomplish this?

Richard, check out the "Data View Web Part".  You won't see it in the "Add a 
Web Part" dialogue, it's only viewable and editable in Sharepoint 
Designer(which is free download). 

I've used the DataView to combine Announcments lists from several site and 
present them as one list.  I'm struggling a bit with security, however, if 
the person doesnt' have access to the source site it is restricing viewing of 
the web part, the entire list, not just the item for which they don't have 
access.

Anyway, out of the box the DataView web part appears best for your scenerio. 
 The Content Query web part may also work but I've found the formatting 
tricky.

Do a Google Search on DataView web part, it's a few steps at first but works 
pretty good.

If you do go 3rd party, Bamboo or Lightning Tools seem to have the most 
market, we have Bamboo and it's ok but has a few quirks.

Good luck and post back what you end up with.

This may be a stupid question, but if your two lists have the same columns, 
why can't you just paste the data from one list into the other in datasheet 
view? You can export them both to spreadsheet to massage the data if needed.

Hi I need to perform a Text to Column conversion from a drop down list, but I also need the extracted value to be updated if the value in the list is changed. eg: Drop down list has 2 values: 1. 4x16K 2. 8x8K If the user selects 1 I can easily extract out to another cell the value 1 using Text to columns, however if the user then changes the choice to 2 the text to columns extraction is not updated to 2. Is there an easy way to return the values of the ChartType constants? Excel 97 does not seem to list them in help and I have not been able to find them in google.group searches. Address list filter rules

Restoring Business Portal 4.0 and SharePoint Services 3.0

Greetings from NJ! I would like to email several people at a time in a politcally correct (privacy-compassionate) way. I do not want to put all their addresses in the "to:" as their privacy is compromised. If I use a distribution list, their names still show up on the actual email. Text size in a drop-down list
I have created a drop down list using the Data>>Validation feature. The list is pulled from a range of values in the spreadsheet and a drop-down appears on each cell where the data validation is set. The problem I have is that the list text is very small, maybe 8 points. Changing the source data or the size of the validated cells makes no difference.
