what does it mean "Publisher cannot create a temporary working fil

I AM USING PUBLISHER 98 AND I ALWAYS GET THIS MESSAGE, "PUBLISHER CANNOT 
CREATE A TEMPORARY WORKING FILE" EVERYTIME I TRY TO SAVE MY FILE. WHAT IS 
GOING ON AND HOW DO I ELIMINATE THIS?

This normally means you're saving to a network drive. Save to a local 
hard drive, and then copy across to the network drive using Windows 
Explorer.

Also, turn off Caps Lock. It's considered to be shouting and rude.

This article doesn't address Publisher 98, but the error is the same and maybe 
the solution is the same too.
The error causes no harm and you can ignore it.

When moving pages from one Publisher 2003 document to another, the font - size - and/or line spacing are indiscriminately changed. What can I do to stop this from happening? Are you using templates? Creating a Word Mail-Merge doc from Excel
Hi - I have an Excel 2003 workbook, and from within it (using VB), I would like to create a new Word doc, make it a Mail-Merge doc (for labels) using the data in my spreadsheet, format the labels, etc. I have been able to pull the data from an Access database, do the manipulation I need to make it look right, and now I need to mail-merge it out. Hyperlinks not working
Hi, I'm starting to use hyperlinks to point to other documents, after realising that insert files only inserts a copy. The hyperlinks only seem to work if Word is open. If Word is not open the links stop working, returning an 'unable to open, program to which your are navigating is busy' error. The path is correct, except for a % sign being inserted for spaces. When I hover over the link, the path is correct (no % signs). Outlook2003 stopped working
I had to revert back to Outlook 2000 because I got the following error: 'Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set of folders could not be opened'. It gets about 3/4 the way opening, then I get the error and it shuts itself down. Outlook 2000 is working just fine. I tried renaming the file outcmd.dat to outcmd.old, then reinstalling 2003. Didn't work. New profile didn't work either. Not sure why it stopped working all of a sudden. ...

touchpad scroll no longer works
My laptop (Compaq Presario R3000) recently got a virus. I took it to a technician who did a clean restore. After that, everything worked fine, except for the scroll function on the touch-pad driver. Somebody gave me a link to download a new driver from ALPS, but it did not work. Scroll function still does not work, so frustrating (but of course, it is not a critical function, just convenient). Deleted Item Retention Not Working
We are running Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 clients - all up to date with patches and fixes. Outlook is running in cached mode. I just discovered that if I go to 'recover deleted items', it shows me every message I ever deleted since the server was installed. Keep deleted items is set to 7 days on the mailbox store. Mailbox manager runs regularly and seems to be working properly. Is there something set that would override this setting? It does not appear to apply to all users. Hi there I have a form that opens up in edit mode from a botton in another form. Using: DoCmd.OpenForm "FormName", , , , acFormEdit I have created a list box so a previous entry can be pulled up. I want a new entry to be created with the data from the old entry rather than saving any changes in the old entry. why does Random: Rnd() not work for random sort?
Hi I'm trying to generate some random numbers in a query in order to allow a random sort of the query using a calculated field called Random: Rnd(). Problem is, the exact same random number is generated for every record in the query thus negating any ability to create a random sort. Worksheets moved or deleted by unknown means!
I am working with a shared workbook in which only a few administrators have accress to the files. Recently several worksheets have been moved or deleted from a particular workbook whcih conains perhaps 50 worksheets. No one has anything to gain from deleting the worksheets and we have ruled this out. I am wondering if anyone has input as to what may have happened to them. fix insert row functionality in frx to actually work
When inserting rows in the row format in frx, the software will delete the rows at the bottom of the row layout. example: Create a row format with 100 rows. Insert a row between row 50 and row 51. Hi, I have an Excel web query that worked fine in excel 97 but will not work in Office XP (on NT4 or XP). Unfortunately the error reported is completely non- specific so no point putting in here, suffice to say it is error 1004. The queries access dynamic data from a database via a report server.
