Getting shape instances to update when master's dimensions are changed
I have a shape master that is a rectange with some text inside it.
When I edit it to make it longer (to fit more text in it), the instances of
the master on the page do not update.
Can anyone help me with this please?
You might be editing the wrong master.
Stencil files have masters, you drag these to your drawing. Visio creates a
local master and uses this for your shapes. If you edit a stencil shape, it
will not change the local master, or instances of the shape. If you change
the local master, it will update the instances. Use drawing explorer to view
your local masters.

When printing an 11x17, folded newsletter and using mail merge in
Publisher I encounter problems. There are 664 addresses in my merge
list and I am required to press Enter 664 times to get all of them
published. This happens on our old C2620. I agreed to upgrade the
machine to a C5185i but with reservations as you can imagine. Still,
we cannot mail merge our newsletter on the newest machine in
Publisher. Ed Bennett's fix from KATMA does not seem to fix this
problem. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Specifically, can you rip off 6 labels, which would be approximately half a
piece of paper, and feed it through a printer, while using MS Publisher or MS
You probably can, it will take some effort to setup the page correctly. Merging would
be questionable. In page setup, select custom, input the label width and length plus
one label more for the margin.

If I understand correctly you are copying the values and formulas,
or are using Edit, Past Special, Values,
but not the formatting. The safest way is to copy the entire sheet.

postcard design with multiple copies per sheet selected
(2 across & 2 down). I would like to have each one with

quadrants, it places all 4 of those in each postcard

to be using the .pubx filetype.

You can select the files in a folder window (use the Shift or Ctrl keys, or
drag a select box around them). Then right-click one and choose Print.
If you're in Excel's File - Open dialog, you do the same, except you use

Why would you want that? When the db is used frequently you'll be bombarded
with emails. You might have to figure out first what it is you want to be
updated for. If you want it all you will create a lot of networktraffic just
by sending constant emails. Not to mention the fact that you have to catch

I am developing a monolithic print driver from the ground up. I have
succeeded in establishing communications between my driver and the GDI (i.e.,
my DrvXXX functions are being called).
When my DrvEnableSurface function is called, I am creating a surface bitmap
with a call to EngCreateBitmap. The call to EngCreateBitmap only asks me for
the height and width in pixels, but it does not ask me for the resolution
(i.e., 250 dpi, 500 dpi, 1000 dpi, etc.).

Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003. My problem is that the Outlook 2003 does
not print html emails. It prints plain text emails fine. In an html email if

I've followed Allen Browne's directions very closely for creating a form for
a date range to limit results to that date range on a report and can not get
it to work for some reason. I've read many threads on this board which all
say the same thing and it seems to work for everyone else. :(

To use Word to do it, you would have to insert all of the scanned documents
into a Word document and then print that document in duplex mode.

Every time I try to print a document in Excel 2003 and use
the show gridlines feature, it only prints the lines every
other line. It will print a line then skip one and then
print a line and so on. Does anybody have an idea what is
causing this, or how to fix it.
