If you zoom in on your document in Publisher, is your logo fuzzy?

What PDF quality settings are you using?

Michelle,

I have tried that b4 and had no success. I even had a DTP
specialist try it, it still does not work. The only thing I can suggest
is to insert the photo from ur computer into the document after you
convert it to PDF format.Or try using Photoshop (if u have it ) to
clean the pic first. Like I said b4 I have had a DTP specialist try it
no no avail

PDF conversions often result in corrupted photos
I use Microsoft Publisher 2003. I frequently encounter problems with the PDF file conversion (I use full version Adobe Acrobat). I don't know if the problem is with Adobe or with Publisher. Frequently, photos that look just fine in Publisher are corrupted in the PDF file (e.g., pixel squares show, picture looks like there is a fine line going thru it horizontically). To work around it, I have to go back into the Publisher file, delete the photo, re-insert the SAME phone and reconvert that page to PDF--this resolves the problem 99% of the time. However, I don't understand why it ...

Stop PDF Maker
After you run Adobe Acrobat 6.0 on your system it leaves an annoying little artifact on your system -- there are auto-open macros which activate the PDF palettes on your Office X toolbars added to the startup directories for your Office applications (PDFMaker.dot; PDFMaker.xla; PDFMaker.ppa). You can delete these files, but the next time you run Acrobat they are created again and deposited in their appropriate locations. If you don't want the PDF palettes visible on your toolbars, then you have to close it. This is awfully annoying and I don't understand Adobe's logic in forcing ...

Publisher 2003 -Save As.. Defalt to 2000
Hi, I hope someone can help. I need to get publisher 2003 to always save in publisher 2000 format. The reason for this is that we have loads of computers running publisher. Most of them run publisher 2000 and a few new ones run publisher 2003. All of the users need to be able to access each others documents but when a 2003 user creates/opens a document and saves it again, 2000 users can no longer open them. The only solution is to get the user to save as.. and select publisher 2000. This is great if the users remembered to do it! Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. I know th...

Trust problem: DNS name resolution works, nltest /dsgetdc fails
Hello, one AD ist 2003 forest level, the second AD is in the 2008R2 forest level. The connection between the two locations is not limited, all traffic will be forwarded to the remote location. We want to establish a forest trust between both AD's. Set up conditional forwarders in both AD-DNS which point to one of the DNS-Servers of the remote AD. Then we could establish a two way forest trust created from the 2003 AD, but if we try to verify this from the 2008R2 AD this fails. If we try to establish the two way trust from the 2008R2 AD this also fails (typed in the DNS na...

Strange Problem #2
A few months ago I reported in this forum, that every time I would enter the Payee name Arco (which was in my list of payees) Money would crash, sending of an error report to Microsoft. The only way I could get around that was to delete the Payee Arco and create a payee Arco Gas. Well now money does not like my payee Lowe's Hardware. When ever I use Lowe's Hardware, Money crashes, sending of an error report to Microsoft. Has anyone else had this problem. I know Microsoft knows about this (since they have received a multitude of error reports from me) but I have learned to never...

XLB file size growing
Hi, Using Excel 2000 on Win XP pro and the file excel.xlb is growing each time I start and close Excel. The size started at 27kb but is now over 2mb. I'm not making any changes when loading and have several add-ins which I think is normal. The same happens if I delete the excel.xlb file and let Excel create another when closing down. Any ideas? Thanks, Rob I think you'd have to know the inner workings of excel to know why it's growing. And even if you had that knowledge, I'm not sure if you could stop it from happening. (But I've never seen the .xlb file gro...

Is there a best block size sending a ftp file with CInternetFile?

I am using CInternetFile::Write but was wondering is there a perfect chunk size when sending to acheive the best transfer rate. I am currently using 1024 bytes but have tried different sizes without any real effect. TIA Des. Not really. Since the actual block size transmitted is a function of the IP stack, the protocol, the network card, the various routers in between, etc. you can pretty much choose any size...
