Changing page numbers #2
Is there any way of making page numbering start at a different number?
I created a 16 A5 page document, the first two and last two sheets were a
cover page which I printed separately.
When I printed pages 3-14 I was asked if I wanted the pages to be printed as
a separate document and I replied YES. However the page numbering on this
separate document started at page 3 - I would have preferred page 1.
The obvious solution of deleting pages 1,2,15,16 did not work. When I
deleted pages 1 and 2 the text moved on leaving blank pages. I realise now

I have a PocketPC that I sync up with my Home Computer on a daily basis. I
have a few files of excel and of word. This morning while trying to access
one particular file of Excel, I wasn't able to do it and the weird thing is,
all of my other files are still retrievable. Is this file corrupt? Is this
file somehow marked as "read-only"? --even though I checked the properties
and it said it wasn't.

I want to know - programmatically - what page the active cell is in.
More precisely, what page ActiveCell.Top is in.
(I take it some sows can split into more than one page.)
I want to automate putting manual page breaks into a sheet.
I would put breaks at or before those automatically inserted by Excel.

You will need to do this manually - there is no option to mark everything
private by default in Outlook 2000.

Can someone point me to some clear info about changing the default home page
in Business Portal 2.5. I want to remove the default links/tasks(?) in the
Key Information section and replace them with some new ones.

1) Manage Portal Pages then for Directory page in Page List, for Roles I

Pictures in email will not print, only a red X. Computer has Outlook 2003
SP1, W2k SP3. I have other computers where this is not an issue. I have

I have to do some simple text editing to large-ish (2 Mbyte) html files
generated by Word. They are, I believe, in UTF-8.
It is the !%^&* problem where single apostrophes become sequences of funny
characters, some spaces are shown as unprintable characters, etc.
The following code just reads and writes a file, and shows the problem. It
applies whether I use a String or a StringBuilder, and whether or not I
explicitly force UTF-8 encoding.

I migrated an exchange box using the exmerge utility and have noticed
that when a user tries to change an appointment that was on the old box
and has invitees, it will not send an update as there is a permission
error with send on behalf.
This is not a shared calendar, just the users own calendar that was
imported from their previous mailbox on the other exchange server.
The only scenario that I can figure that would cause something like
this is is the calendar appointment is tied down with the previous user
and is not associated as the organizer with the new appointment.

i have looked a little but can't find what i think is the right thing.
i have a workbook with 3-4 pages in it. in the upper righthand corner
is a page of pages cells set up. i want to have it grab the current
tab(page) for one cell and the rest of the tabs(pages) for the other
cell. i am not very good at the coding VB thing so exact instructions

I know about exmerge but it only extracts to a pst file but is there a way
to use that pst file in MS Access?

..pst files can only be used by Outlook, no other program, so no, Access
could not use the files.
Why not explain what you are trying to do so perhaps someone here can assist
with another method than what you are contemplating?

I work with documents typically imported from Word. Occasionally I need to
delete a single page without changing the formatting on subsequent pages.
When I simply use Edit/Delete Page all of the original text from Word is
apparently in the overflow area because it is not visible. Text Boxes and
pictures that I inserted into the Publisher document after importing the main
document from Word do not seem to be affected.

You can't have different settings for all-day events vs. timed events for
whether or not you get a default reminder. You can turn off default reminder

In Excel 03, I regulary use the (Shift/Edit Menu/Copy picture) to access the
Copy Picture command.
