mail merge- 2 things

Help! I have folks on my mailing list, same address but
different last names. When I merge that way, it shows
them correct but the others either.....sam smith and judy
smith or The Smith family. In a perfict world I would
like it to merge...... jen doe & sarah miller and sam &
judy smith. What can I do?

Next, when I save the mail merge to a cd to take to
Kinkos to print they say "you need to load up this file
prep tool & save it that way first, oh but you have XP so
this won't work, you need to buy a distiller". Well I
just looked at what I think is a distiller on Adobe site
and it was $500. I don't mind spending if this solves
the problem, any ideas?

Thanks, thanks and many thanks!

Geoff if you are using the database within Publisher - any version, it is a
dog (lousy)

XP makes no damn difference whatsoever to anything. Kinkos don't even know
the time of day.

What version of Publisher are you using?

By any chance are you fortunate enough to own or able to obtain a copy of MS
Works 4.5a.

You can do what you want easily with a decent database like the Works 4.5a.
All the later versions of MS Works are an absolute disaster and garbage
trash.

I am almost sure I have a database in MS Works all setup with exactly what
you want and any other options you may need. The MS Works database works
perfectly with Publisher.

Works 4.5 can be purchased here for $9.95 + $5 shipping
http://store.yahoo.com/dirtcheapsoftware/micwor45oemf.html

Then go here to download the free Y2K patch which will bring it up to 4.5a:

GP 9.0 user logins passwords
We have this same problem, but only for a few users. A user will be told that their GP password is not valid for FRx, so the SQL admin will reset the FRx password. This allows the user to log into FRx, but on the next log in for GP, GP forces the user to change their password. Once the GP password is changed (so the user can get into GP), the FRx password again is locked and needs to be reset by the SQL admin. It is a vicious circle, so any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Again, it is strange because half of the users have no problem at all. TIA ryanb. ==== Newsgroups:...

How do I get merged cells to display all text.
I merged a section of cells and set the wrap text and the text to start at top. For some reason when you click out of the cell it will not show all the text you typed. Does any body know why. Merged cells have problems with autofitting the rowheight. And cells with lots of text can have trouble displaying all of it. If you add a bunch of alt-enters to force new lines within the cell, you can usually see lots more. But make sure you manually adjust the rowheight when you're done.
