PowerPoint 2007 / 2003 "Compare & Merge" crosswalk?
I cannot find the "Compare and Merge Presentations" function on 2007. The
tutorial says some of 2003 functions were lost, and you should check with
online help. Have not been able to locate anything equivalent or close in

Hi, I am new to Access 2007 and having trouble working with a 2003(?)
MDB. I opened it with the Shift Key down and I can see the tables,
forms, etc. But when I select a form, I can only open it; the option
to Design the form is greyed out and the entire Forms tab in the
Ribbon is greyed out too.

I recently got a new printer. Now any publisher doc I print, even in fast
draft, it takes 2-3 minutes to print. It doesn't matter if it is clip art or
just black text. All other Office programs print quickly. My printer is a
Brother MFC-5840CN All-in-one.

I am using Word 2003. My documents have two section breaks. One after the
Title Page, one after the Table of Contents. There are Headers and Footers
in the document itself but not the TOC or Title Page. My problem is when I
convert to PDF (which we do for emailing purposes) the document ends up in
three PDFs, one for each section. Is there any solution to this - the client
is not impressed with three PDFs.
Look at the settings for your PDF converter software. It seems as if some
"split" option has been activated.

OK, this is just too weird. Two computers, both running Publisher
On #1, all graphics load and everything is fine.
On #2, all of a sudden [last week] *SOME* of the pictures stop showing
up, replaced by placeholder with red 'x'.
So what happened last week? Why some pictures and not others? I
emptied out temp folders, switched the "View" settings for pictures,
but I'm not sure what to try next. Any suggestions?

I have a daily exercise in which I copy a web-based datagrid and paste it
into an Excel workbook. It's typically up to 6,000 rows +/- and 15 columns
wide. It takes a while to paste. After that I block format remove
text-wrap and adjust row height and column widths to fit, change the
worksheet tab to a description name, then attempt to SAVE AS

I close Excel and then reopen it, the recovered file can eventually be

When inserting pictures in HTML or RTF emails, Outlook 2007 uses the size in
INCHES (for some ungodly reason) instead of in PIXELS.
How the heck do I revert to the traditional 1:1 pixel mapping so that a 900
x 600 pixel picture shows up as 900 x 600 pixels in the email? I want it to
ignore the INCHES and DPI attributes and just display the JPG as a website
would : using the X x Y information only.

Did you save your files as .docx or .doc? If it's the former you need to go
to Microsoft's site and download the 2007 compatibility pack for 2003.

I create a chart using vba and I create it on it own worksheet
(ActiveChart.Location Where:=xlLocationAsNewSheet, Name:="UsageChart"). I
need to setup the page footer so that when it prints, the date/time appear in
the lower right-hand corner.
I have tried using the following command to set it up:

but it does not work, nothing appears. What am I doing wrong?

I just reinstalled my printer drivers due to an unrelated network issue.
Now, I cannot print to the printer from Publisher 2002. When I try to print
preview or print, it tells me I must first install a printer. Well, the
printer is installed and prints fine from every other application - just not
Publisher. The printer is on a network. I have been able to print to it
from Publisher before. What do I need to do to get Publisher to realize
there really is a happy, receptive little printer out there just waiting to
do its bidding?

care if a user plays with or modifies cells that are outside of this range.
Can I somehow program Excel to prevent the "Do you want to save

If you want to access the same recieved mails on another PC, you set up your
mail account in Outlook on the other PC, and on both Outlooks you select the
option to keep a copy on the server. (The sent mail will only be seen on the
PC it was sent from)
If you use an imap account the mail will be in sync on both PC's

The only workaround is to modify your first month, copy/paste, edit the numbers
and the month name. Insert 11 pages, one for each month.
Calendars are tables, changing the numbers is easy. Getting publications to look
the way we desire always takes a little work.
