Publishing Tasks Updates

When working on Project Server 2007 for approving tasks updates, is there a
way to have the tasks automatically published on to a project plan rather
than the PM having to first approve of the task and then go to the Applied
Task Update Requests and Errors page to select the tasks that need to be
published and then pick the project it needs to be published too?

I know there is a way for them to do it straight from the project plan in
Project Professional but the PMs prefer to use the web access since they can
approve of more than one project at a time but then they find it cumbersome
when they have to go through the list to publish the tasks to the project
plan.

Thank you in advance

There is no out-of-box way to publish task updates.

The best you can do is to setup rules to "Accept" all updates, which are
applied to projects automatically, without waiting for PM to go in and
approve. Then the PMs can do a periodical publishing.

Thank you for the advice but unfortunately that wouldn't work for us. Our
PMs like to stay on top of the hours applied to their project plans so they
need to review the tasks before approving. But again thank you for your
advice.

How to covert Publisher Millenium to Publisher XP? New computer..
I recently purchased Microsoft Word XP and my Publisher files won't convert over - the spacing is all wrong when it is opened. How do I make the old system (Millinium Edition) compatable so I don't have to redesign everything? Huh? You bought Word 2002 and now your Publisher won't convert? 1. Convert to what? 2. Publisher 2000 #48
I am trying to write a book and the only thing close to what I am looking for in my Publisher program is the Catalog format. After I got everything the way I wanted and started, I got to page 8 and when I went back I noticed that everything I typed on page 6 had replaced what I put on page 2. Why is this and how do I fix it. When you do a booklet in 2000, you need to specify special fold, book fold, landscape in File, Page setup. You must be using the catalog wizard, you are going through a lot of needless trouble to setup a book. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "llowen...

Default task folder
Hi Does anyone know how to change the default task folder? I want to setup a folder to share some task information and I can't seem to make Outlook use my new folder as the default for saving tasks. I'm using Outlook 2002 with sp2 Thanks Don As far as I know, you can't make Outlook use a different, default Tasks folder. custom task to Word template
Hi, I populate Word templates from my custom task form via code. Works great, but, from Word, you hit "Send a Copy" instead of just "Send" and it doesn't automatically close the file like an e-mail would. How to assign a Task WITHOUT Exchange
We are using Outlook 2003 WITHOUT Exchange. I need to assign Tasks to another user. We do NOT have a Exchange server, and NO, installing one is not an option. When I assign calendar entries to them, all works perfect. They show up on the other side with accept/reject buttons and get added correctly to the their calendar. HOWEVER :-( When I do the same thing with a Task, the only thing that shows up on the other side is a plain vanilla email with task information in the body. It is NOT a real Task and does not contain the Accept/Decline buttons. It is just a plain email. I have made sur...

Importing into Publisher w/o Background
We have jpegs that we want to cut out in Adobe Photoshop and import into Publisher without a background. You can make a clipping path in Adobe Photoshop that defines which area to include and which area to discard, but I'm not sure if Publisher supports clipping paths or not. Probably not because it's MicroSoft, not Adobe. A .gif won't work because its a photographic image.
