Lookup from a range on separate sheets
Hi, I am trying to look up values from the same fixed range (c50:E200) in 45 sheets and extract the values onto one sheet (same workbook) 3 columns at a time (ie first sheet B-D, second sheet E-G etc). I can't work out how to put the sheet name (or a reference to the sheet number) in a formula in the destination sheet - is it possible or do I have to use a macro? I can write the code for a macro, but as it is statistical process control limits which are added to each month, it means rerunning the macro every time Any help much appreciated! Making shapes the same size
I have a simple question about a feature available in VB IDE development environment and I hope a similar helpful feature is available in Visio. I got used to use the "Make Same Size" option in VB. In visio I usually add multiple instances of the same shape, then I want them be resized the same way, I start sizing the first instance and try to replicate what I have done on the remaining instances. I never a found a way to do it, but repeating the resize manually. Is there any help? Regards, Rami Hi Rami, Instead of manually resizing the other instances of the same shape, how ab...

Getting shape instances to update when master's dimensions are changed
I have a shape master that is a rectange with some text inside it. When I edit it to make it longer (to fit more text in it), the instances of the master on the page do not update. Can anyone help me with this please? Many thanks. You might be editing the wrong master. Stencil files have masters, you drag these to your drawing. Visio creates a local master and uses this for your shapes. If you edit a stencil shape, it will not change the local master, or instances of the shape. If you change the local master, it will update the instances. Use drawing explorer to view your local masters. ...

Server-Wide Auto-Reply / Address Change Notice
We are in the process of changing domains as far as email/web addresses are concerned and I wonder if it would be possible to have Exchange reply for each user with a message stating something like, "This is an automated reply letting you know that the email address for User Smith is now usmith@fakedomain.org." I realize that each user could create a rule in Outlook... but we would need the rules to apply for a long period of time and that could be very annoying for senders... getting hit with constant auto-replies. Outlook changing SMTP to X400 addresses
We are converting from an inhouse Exchange server to an ASP's exchange server. The email addresses are the same, but of course the AD forrest isn't. For some reason, some of our contacts seem to 'spontaneously' convert over to X400 style addresses. This isn't a GAL issue - for various reasons we don't use the GAL. The people that get the entire address book get it from one person who types in the names into a PST file. That PST file, when imported, seems to switch from SMTP to X400 syle addresses, and on the new server these addresses are wrong. Due to the G...

Outlook 2003 cannot see other email addresses in the to field - when someone emails me and a group of other people, I only see my email address. Using Outlook address book in Excel
I am using an Excel Invoice template. Is it possible to use my Outlook address book to enter names, addresses and shipping addresses? I'm using Office 2003 Hi Diane, You do have a few options: 1) Export your outlook address book to a csv file, and pick it up in Excel. you can then use a vlookup formula to return addresses etc. 2) Using Access, link a table to your address book in outlook. Compatibility Checker dialog box needs to state workbook referred
The Excel Compatibility Checker dialog box in Excel 2007 (which warns of features in a workbook which aren't supported by earlier versions of Excel which may be lost if the file is saved in an earlier format, e.g. Excel 2003) currently doesn't say which workbook it is referring to. This is a problem when using a .net or VBA program from Excel to manipulate other Excel files. In our case we have a custom toolbar that reads in data from another Excel file of the user's choice, and writes to this file, the Excel Compatibility Checker dialog box pops up to warn "minor loss...

Separate Raster and Vector Resolutions in Print Driver
Hello, I am developing a monolithic print driver from the ground up. I have succeeded in establishing communications between my driver and the GDI (i.e., my DrvXXX functions are being called). When my DrvEnableSurface function is called, I am creating a surface bitmap with a call to EngCreateBitmap. The call to EngCreateBitmap only asks me for the height and width in pixels, but it does not ask me for the resolution (i.e., 250 dpi, 500 dpi, 1000 dpi, etc.). I am assuming that when you call EngAssosiateSurface that the bitmap which was created is tied to the resolution of t...
