Item Quantity Discrepancy and Worksheet 401 and 260 .. HQ Adjustme

I keep getting a HQ Adjustment at the store when I run a 260. This is after
I have ran a 401 and a 501. When it makes the adjustment at the store it
also seems to make that adjustment at HQ which always creates a discrepancy.
I am running 1.3.1010 right now.

The store right now shows HQ Adjustment and when I run a 260 it makes an
another adjustment.. Keeps doing this over and over again. Even if I do a
501 in the middle.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Bradley,

First, you should _never_ run a 260 as it sends to the store the info =
that HQ thinks the stores should have in stock. Use a 250 to update the =
info about the items.=20

You are getting the adjustment because HQ is changing the store counts!

If you need to update HQ with the proper counts, you need to run a 501 =
worksheet and then a 190 wizard to update HQ.

Because of your 260s, the inventory count at the store(s) is now =
wrong!!!

Hi Jeff,

I agree with you. But the previous consultant told them to do it that way.
Since 2003 it's been working fine for them. Their second store is rarely
used and it's the one getting the adjustments while the main store has no
issues. I'm going to suggest they change their process. I'll also search for
HQ adjustments in the main store. Also, how do you get it to show a 190? I
can't seem to find a 190 even after a 501. A while back I ran a 190, but it's
been a while.

Also, the 401 should take care of updates to inventory as long as no one is
manually updating inventory at the store, correct?

Thanks,

Bradley

Jeff,

Just spoke to my client again and he claims Microsoft told him to run the
260 because of the significant number of changes that occur on a daily basis.
I guess I need to find out what worksheets he needs to run to do everything
the 260 would do except for adjust the inventory quantities.

I also have to figure out why HQ has a discrepancy even after a 401 and a 501.

Thanks,

Bradley

190 is not a worksheet, it's an Inventory Wizard Task at HQ. The 501
sends the store Quantity, but they are not applied until the 190 is run
to reconcile them - like calculating and Committing a Physical Inv. at
the store...

Bradley,

Someone must of been confused. The _only_ time I've ever had someone =
run a 260 is if their store's database got corrupt and needed to =
reconstruct it. =20

To update HQ with the 501 numbers, you need to run a 190 wizard.

how to? custom worksheet function using VBA
hello. new user here. Is it possible to create "custom" worksheet functions in VBA in Excel 2007? I used to do this quite easily in Excel 5. I can't find how to do this in the new version. Item Movement Problem in HQ
We have 3 stores using RMS. When we do an item movement report in HQ it provides what appears to be correct info. However when viewing the sales transactions for 2 of the 3 stores, sales slips that comes up has a different transaction number then what is showing in the report and is unrelated to the item being viewed. I tried using "check" in HQ administrator and reindexing files. Probelm remains. Any suggestions? Negative Quantities on Order
Recently we have started to notice that for some items, the Quantity on Order is negative. We are running GP 9.0. The quantity going negative seems associated with the processing of a PO where the quantity ordered was one amount and the quantity received was a larger amount but subtracting one from the other does not give the negative amount. I run reconcile and it takes care of the negative but I don't think that I should have to run reconcile all the time. I would like to find the problem or if we are doing some thing wrong. Thanks in advance for your assistance. I have the same ...

How do you create a macro on a worksheet that opens a dialog box?
How do you create a macro on a worksheet that opens a dialog box? It depends on the dialog box. If you want to show an inbuilt excel dialog box then: dlgAnswer = Application.Dialogs(xlDialogOpen).Show will show the FileOpen dialog box. Search help for the other built in dialog boxes to replace xlDialogOpen. If you want to get simple information from the user you could use InputBox. Otherwise you can design your own forms to show to the user by inserting a UserForm in the Visual Basic Editor and using the MyFormName.show in your macro. Neal "Mark" <anonymous@discussions.m...

Resize items in CDialogBar
I have a SDI app with docked CDialogBar at the bottom. I have a control on this dialog bar that I need to size according to the frame wnd size. This needs to be done when initially created and whenever the main frame / view is resized. I've overridden OnSize on the main frame and my dialog bar class. I've tried using SetWindowPos for the control (which happens to be a scroll bar) on the dialog bar. It doesn't work. I've added a public method ResizeControls on my dialog bar class and called it from my CMainFrame::OnSize. That doesn't work either. Any suggesti...
