Issue moving database to another PC

Please need help with the following.

Running Headquarter at a different location.  At the store, there are two 
PCs.  One of them (PC1) is the main one that has the database and 
Headquarters Client.  The other one (PC2) just points to (PC1) to connect to 
the database with a drive mapping.

PC1 is giving problems and want to make PC2 the main one with the database 
and communicates with Headquarter.  I backed up the database from PC1 and 
copied it to PC2.  Then, I unplugged PC1 from the network and changed system 
settings, such as hostname and IP, on PC2 to match PC1 so that HQ can 
communicate with PC2 (now PC1).  When I run the SO Administrator to change 
the SQL server to Local, I get a connection error "it cannot find the 
database".  And until I can connect to a database it does not give me the 
option to restore database.  I uninstall everything and reinstalled it and it 
still SO Administrator trys to look for the database on the other PC which I 
unplugged.

What are the proper steps to make the change keep in mind that the HQ needs 
to communicate with PC2?  

I appreciate the help and need to make this change before the main PC crashes.

Hi Carlos...you need to create the database locally not by copying it but by 
restoring from the backup you created from the original PC1; this backup will 
be in the form of a bck extension file; copy that bck file on the local drive 
of your new database server; thenin SO Administrator connect locally to any 
database (ie master), then go to database - create - restore from the bck 
file you copied locally; this will recreate the database on local - hope this 
helps....

Ok, I understand all that.  But how about the database name, hostname, and IP 
in terms of communicating with HQ.

The database name must be the same as the original (HQ will look for the 
original store ID when store connects); I don't think the internal IP or 
hostname will make a difference for HQ....if you also moved the HQ Client to 
the new machine test the db connection there as well to make sure it sees the 
local db....

I need to set up a MS Access Database that stores test data that was performed at certain times (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes). I need to produce a query that shows each 15 minute interval within a 24 hour period. Any 15 minute increment that doesn't have test data needs to be represented by a -1. mail format issues winmail.dat
I just got my iphone and Apple acknowledges problems with attachments sent from Outlook. I emailed my clients to make sure that the mail format options, are set to HTML and to double click my email address in contacts to change it to: Let Outlook decide. It works. Two Momey 2007 Issues/Suggestion
I recently upgraded to MS Money 2007 Deluxe from Money 2004 and found two issues that MS has never seemed to resolve. The first is the frequency that bills are set at in the Bill Minder. Sample CRM Data Install Issue
Installed test version of CRM fine running as a web site on its own IP address. Try to run the sampledata wizard on CD1 but it fails at the first dialouge - enter the address of your crm server. Linking CRM/SQL Server to External Database
I am looking for information of someone to talk to about how to "link" data from an external non-SQL Server d/b to the CRM SQL Server d/b. Hello Everyone, Last week we had a problem with the Discover card tender type on the X, Z, and Discover statement. The scenario is, We had 2 discover transaction on register 1. One was for $25.68 and the second was for a credit of $64.20. This would create a difference of $38.52.
