Copying Worksheet to New File
When I want to copy a worksheet to another book, it warns me that it can only copy 255 characters per cell and to copy each cell separately. This could take up a lot of time. Any way to get around this
as a workaround:
- select the entire worksheet and copy the data
- paste it to the new worksheet manually (all cells of course in one

When I copy from one document and insert into the one I'm working on, the
font doesn't change to the default font I'm using and I have to keep
highlighting and changing the font of what I just pasted in to the default

Hello all, I need some help on how to transfer data into a protected
spreadsheet. Copy and paste is not working because there are some locked
cells in-between the cells I am trying to paste. Here is an example:

Convert to PDF using a free converter such as PrimoPDF from

Every time that I open the file "temperature.xls" I would like to have
the worksheet "survey" contained "raw_data.xls" copied in to the
worksheet "baseline" (contained in "temperature.xls"). Both files are

In Word, copy-format is simply shift-ctrl-c, why excel hasn't supported such a
shortcut? just ask to know anybody can figure out a reason so this is not

I don't think you'll find a fix to your sorting problem.
I choose a nice unique field and type that in the second worksheet.

I'm running Outlook 2003 SP2 and recently noticed that copies of all
incoming email are being placed on the root of my C drive at the same time
Outlook downloads them.
All email is going to my Outlook.pst file, (C:\Documents and Settings\my
name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook) just fine. I can
delete the email copies on C without loosing the files in Outlook. If I
delete the message in Outlook, the copy remains on C. No outgoing email is
copied to C.

I am very unfamiliar with Excel or databases in general. My first column/row
is numbered by Excel. However, when I delete fields, the numbers don't move
up to account for that. So let's say my first row has a 1 in front of it.

Is there anyway that you can make an individual a "CC" recipient rather than

This isn't really an Outlook question, but I couldn't find an appropriate
group for the question.
Why is it so hard to copy and paste in Microsoft applications? They always
want to pick up characters that I have not dragged over, and they often add
characters that simply don't exist in the source, such as trailing spaces,
and even carriage returns. Turning off "smart copy & paste" is a joke (I
call it "dumb copy & paste) because these applications tend to do whatever
they want anyway.
Is it so much to ask that only the characters I have selected be copied?

Because you have so many items, 120,000, it could take quite a long time in
order to generate the suggested purchase orders. One thing you could try
would be to add different restrictions when generating the purchase orders.
