New items with purchase order integration
I'm running a daily integration to bring purchase orders into GP using
Integration Manager. The source is a text file. It works very well. The
problem I have is with new items. When there is an item in the source file
that does not exist in Great Plains, I would like the integration to fail or
skip the line item. Currently, it brings the item into the Purchase Order as
a non inventory item. The document will show the item number and the cost
but no item description. Where can I change the behavior for this?

In the sales order fulfillment window you can sort the lines items by Order
Entered or Site/Bin/Item. Does the Site/Bin/Item only sort by Bin if
Multi-bin is used? I am not using multi-bin but have created bin for each
item in each site on the Quantities/Sites window.

I don't think that's going to help. What you really want to do is load the
image in the bootloader, since, by the time GWES itself loads, you're
probably 75% of the way through the boot process. As far as I can recall,

weeks after the fact but there was no way to to back date them when
entering so that they fall into the proper months reports, etc. Any
help out there on how I can change the dates at the database level?

I've followed the steps from KB914894 to build a go to for the SOP
Transaction Entry window. When that window opens it shows the SOP Type and
SOP Number values that were passed and it shows the line item info but no
other header info is shown. Any ideas?
Additionally we have the Ship-To Address ID field disabled through Field
Level Security for some users. When those users try to use this go to they
get an error message about permissions on this field. Any options here?

is the best way of "reversing" this error?
You would enter a return, transactions>>purchasing>>returns trx entry.
If it was only received, you would choose to enter Return type. If
it was received and invoiced, you would enter a Return with Credit.
Please note, this will NOT open the PO back up to be received, you
will have to enter a new PO or if the PO is not completely received,
you could also edit it to increase the amountt to be received.

I am trying to create a way of generating several reports from
spreadsheet of data for a baseball team. Basically, I have
spreadsheet which logs every appearance by each pitcher during
season, including which inning each entered and what the score was a

Have a back order question. Normal back orders are working right. In that
if you have 10 and the order is for 15. During the lineitem transtaction it
will put 5 in the backorder field automatically. What we need is if the
customer orders 15 and we have 20, but only ship 10. We want the BO field to
automatically fill with 5. Is this possible.

Why would you want that? When the db is used frequently you'll be bombarded
with emails. You might have to figure out first what it is you want to be
updated for. If you want it all you will create a lot of networktraffic just

Depends on the machines you are running it on, but 160K is tiny compare
to some of the ones I have seen. I know of one user who has on
running on a Pentium 500 (256 Ram) that is over 25MB.
You should be OK for the forseeable future.

I have a transactions table that's sort of like a check register. I want to
base a chart on it, but instead of basing it on every transaction, I want to
base it on only transactions with a particular vendor. I can apply a filter
to the table to show only transactions with that vendor, and base a chart on
it, but I don't want to have to apply the filter to that table every time I
want to look at the chart. I will be setting up charts for several vendors,
