Outlook 2003 includes some client-side spam filters that are quite good.
You will need to have an Exchange server in order for them to work, tho.

If someone could definitively answer this question, they'd be a
multi-billionaire in no time.

You have to use tools like Mailwasher or Outlook Rules to minimize the junk,
but it's virtually impossible to eliminate completely.

Organizing standard email messages
I have several dozen emails that I send out to my clients each week. A typical email will say something like, "This week you had no blah, blah, blah." Or it might say, "This month you had 15 blah, blah, blah and you can see them in the attached file." I use a standard signature file so my contact info is always there and always current. I currently keep a folder of generic messages like this and each week I pick the appropriate message, change a date in the text, attach the current file and send. This works fine but I can't help but wonder if somebody else has a ...

Laptop accumulating emails
I have a friend who used a laptop for 3 years in his office as his main computer on a wireless network. He naturally used it for his email. Outlook 2007 was set up to NOT leave a copy of messages on the server. About 8 months ago, he switched over to a desktop. The laptop remained in the office but was used rarely. Outlook was never opened since he switched to the desktop. A few days ago, he went on a business trip and took his laptop with him. When he opened Outlook, which was set up to automatically download emails, 1839 emails downloaded (which took a few hours). He gets...

blocking email #5
About once a day I receive email from a person/group that is trying to sell various drugs. I started by blocking that particular sender but, of course, then I would get another one from another "person". It is becoming more than annoying at this point so I started to track some of the data by copying the properties of the email sent. as an example: Received: from 216.148.227.126 (unknown[211.50.43.240](misconfigured sender)) by rwcrmxc22.comcast.net (rwcrmxc22) with SMTP id <20050507055801r2200r35hje>; Sat, 7 May 2005 05:58:53 +0000 X-Originating-I...

Block <img src=> in html formatted emails in OL2000
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to configure Outlook 2000 to stop the downloading of inline content in html emails in the same way that is done in Outlook 2003 (Block Image Downloading). We will be rolling out Outlook 2003 in the next 6 months but would like the ability NOW to prevent image dowloading. Is this possible by adding a reg key or something, or maybe an add in? Outlook 2003 Suddenly not sending email with hyperlinks
I have been having trouble sending email (even to myself) that has a signature, or hyperlink in the message. It goes out of the outbox but is never received on the other end. Email address can't be resolved to a record in the system
When an email address exists in an Account record and Contact record, an email sent by that customer will track but not regard properly. It is prefaced by a red question mark and if you open the email in CRM, it says at least one recipient could not be resolved to a record in the system. You can then manually resolve the address to a specific Contact record. From now on, CRM will know where to resolve that email address. This is ridiculous. By default, the Lead to Account conversion includes and Email mapping causing this problem. The only solution given to me is not use the Email Addr...

Printing documents that are from links in emails
Is there a way to print out automaticly all documents associated with links in an email message instead of clicking on the link, going out to the website and printing the document manually. They have limited "features" associated with their system; however, I'm able to have my student emails not only going to the inbox at the college, but also my Outlook 2007 (non-college) email address. Blank HTML Emails

However if I view the same message in OWA or Outlook 2000 it shows up fine.
