Turn off ActiveX Control warnings

Hi,

Some staff are using the 'while you were out' form that's
available for download on the web.

One staff member is getting a warning each time they open
the form:
"This form contains an ActiveX control" and you have to
choose enable/disable.

Where can I set this permanently, so the user doesn't have
to click enable/disable all the time?

Cheers,
Gav

Make sure that you're using a published version of the form, not launching
it from an .oft file.

Serialisation with ActiveX
Hi, I'm no MFC expert so I might not use the correct terms. I'm working on an application that consists of a .exe with a DLL extension DLL and an ActiveX ocx. The ActiveX attempts to serialise some objects declared in the extension DLL but it can't find them. I read something about this after a google search but I didn't really get much help. I think I've fixed it but it's a bit of a hack. I get the Afx module state in the extension DLL and store that value away. Before I call any code in the ActiveX DLL that might use serialisation, I use AFX_MANAGE_STATE to set...

>> Calendar Control drag to select range
Hi, using MS Access 2003, is it possible to allow a user to drag to select a range of dates and, if 'yes', how do you store the selected date range? Many thanks, Jonathan Not that I know of. Storing a range of dates is quite simple though. You store the start date and the end date and use a calculation to show all the dates between. -- Arvin Meyer, MCP, MVP http://www.datastrat.com http://www.mvps.org/access http://www.accessmvp.com "Jonathan" <Jonathan@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4F22299F-3765-40D2-AA03-67FB42FFC07A@microsoft.com... > ...

Possible to turn off graph refresh temporarily?
Graphs in 2007 are very slow to refresh after refreshing a data connection. When I remove the 30 graphs in my spreadsheet and refresh the data connections, it refreshes in less than a second. When the graphs are present, it's more than 10 seconds. Is there any way (VBA?) to disable the refreshing of the graphs until after the data connection refreshes have completed, and then to re-enable them? Kind of like a "manual calculation" mode for graphs. Thanks! I'm not aware of anything that allows you to stop the graph refreshing as such. However, you might be able to get ...

Control Access to groups of contacts

Pivot Table Defaults Turn Off Subtotal
Is there a way to change the default behavior of Pivot Tables? Specifically, can I change the default behavior for a Field to NOT show the subtotals? I know how to turn it off easy enough - it's just frustrating doing it over and over. Thoughts? I have not answer, just want to agree that this is a frustrating issue. Ie, everytime I build a Pivot Table, I have to go through the process of manually turning off the subtotals. Another issue I run into is that generally my pivot tables need to have the 'Field Settings' / 'Layout & Print' changed via a manual process ...

Creating a warning prior to deleting a record
I'm creating a membership database for an organisation. A problem I've encountered is the young lady that will be using the completed database is occasionally using control/z to undo an input error too frequently and deletes the record that she is inputting.
