Office read only in outlook only
I am having a problem with Outlook 2002 and a user
profile. The user loggs into locations and everwhere she
loggs into the Outlook gives her office read only files.
She can send the file and it becomes read only. She can
send to any user possible but the file comes up as normal.
Any user can read the file as normal, but she cannot. she
opens the file seperatley it will read regular, but when
opened through Outlook it is read only.

Hi everyone, I hope this is a simple question, even if the the How-To
might be difficult.
I'm trying to prevent users other than a specific universal group, as
well as domain admins, from reading the data in the extensionAttribute1,
and extensionAttribute2 attributes on the user property in AD that
Exchange 2003 puts there when you install it.
The reason is that we have some sensitive data in that field, and as it
is now, anyone (Authenticated Users) can query using LDAP and suck that
information out, which happens to be priveleged HR information.

I have created a publisher email and have email it to myself for testing
I find there is a small alternative text box appearing whenever my mouse
cursor station at any point of the email.
How to remove this alternative text box from the publisher email?
Sounds like all the text has was converted to an image. Try to select the
text and you will see it is an image.
Go to tools > Options > Web tab and under Email options uncheck the option
to send as an image.

I use Outlook 98 and I want to change my message format to HTML so that
I can have nice backgrounds etc on my mail. For some reason this
facility doesn't seem to be available to me on the 'Mail Format' Tab.
It is blacked out and I cannot change it from Rich Text to HTML. Is
there anything I can do to sort this out? Could it be because I am on

We print a monthly newsletter which includes a pullout insert. This
month we want to turn this pullout into a foldable brochure. Before I
send it off to the printer (who prints our newsletter to 11X17 glossy
paper), I want to make sure the pullout, when folded, displays the
information correctly (not upside down or out of sequence).
We print to a photocopier that users 11X17 size paper. I cannot
figure out a way to print two successive pages (8.5 X 11 each) to one
sheet of 11X17 paper (ie., pages 2 and 4 to one sheet of paper). I
tried doing this by changing the printer options to 11X17 b...Page setup / page / size??????
When you are in design view and you click on 'Page setup / page / size' are
the options listed based on the printer you have installed or are they
options that Access knows? If I select any of the options listed will they
work on any printer?

The best I've done is to paste a picture over the cell. The picture's
formula refers to named formula that selects one of two cells, the one with
correct string. One cell contains KAE and the other KPE with the subscript.
However, it means that I'm using a picture and it would be much nicer if I
could just do it in an If formula.

When our i-700's with Pocket PC 2003 attempts to access our mail exchange
server, all we receive is the following error message:
" A System error has occurred while processing your request. Please try
again. If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

I have two columns, each containing a list of part numbers. Some of the part
numbers contain hyphens.
I am using LOOKUP and/or VLOOKUP to determine if the value in one column
exists in the other. This works great on non-hyphenated part numbers.
However, it will not find or return the hyphenated part numbers from the
specified arrays. As a test, I did a quick if statement to compare the
instances of identical hyphenated values that exist in both columns. Those
statements did not have a problem with the hyphens. Can anyone offer any

I have recently noticed that whenever I write an email (using Word as
editor) in html format, and instead of sending it, save it (to the drafts
folder), the text itself changes format from my default to another one.
It seems to change in the paragraph style which then changes the text
The only change I recently made was to edit my signatures in html, rtf and
plain text format.
When I write a new email, it opens up with the signature already in it and
perhaps there are format/style conflicts..?

...can lookup return cell reference istead of "text" for sumif?
I am trying to use a lookup-function to determine a different sum
range for several criteria.
The problem is that the vlookup returns text and not the cell
reference. Is there a way to get the answer from the lookup expressed
as cell reference instead of text, since sumif can't use text, just

This is a same list as Recently used files list under File menu. Go to
Tools -> Options, and under General tab remove checkmark at Recently

1. Database size = file size
2. Database size = file size - free space (shown by event 1221)
I just need to know if I have to do an offline defrag or not as event 1221
is showing around 4G of free space (after a lot of archiving) but the file
size is very close to 16G.

I need to insert a number into a shape that corresponds to a cell in excel.
Kinda like the exploded parts view in a car repair manual.
A callout shape with a text value "123" that is linked to cell A1 in file
It would be nice to be able to auto generate the callouts from the excel file.
shape 123 is cell A1, shape 124 is cell A2 and so on.

Unfortunatly because it is actually the client that sends the receipt you
can not block them for user accounts. But they can be blocked for
Distribution Groups, by selecting the option in the distro group "Do not
send delivery reports"

For some reason I know not why, that even though I enter 'No line' in both
Line/Border style and Dash style I still have a visible bold dash surrounding
the text box.

Did you happen to draw a rectangle around the text box?
Try highlighting it, and move the bottom text box adjustment up. If the
dashed line didn't move, click on it and delete.
Copy the text, and paste it and if the dashed line didn't go with the copy,
delete the original.
