Preventing changes to received messages

Outlook allows me to modify a received message's body and subject field. So
if Bob sends me an email, I can open it, change the body's content, save it,
and it looks like that's how I received it. Then if I print or forward it,
it looks like Bob sent me something he in reality didn't.

Is there a way to disable that? Can the integrity of a received message be
protected? Can this be done without digital signitures?

Using Outloook 2003 and Information Rights Management, you can disable the
ability to edit and/or print the message.

You did not state what version of Outlook you are using.

If you are not using Office 2003, then add-ons like Gigatrust will allow you
to use Microsoft's RM and still protect email content.

File's layout changes from two page to single page after saving as
I think I may have discovered a bug, or else there is a very obscure step that I have been failing to take. I am creating a 20 page newsletter in Publisher 2007, 5 pieces of paper double sided and folded in half. When I am working on the newsletter, it looks fine - double page layout, all my fonts, the works, however the moment I am done and SAVE THE FILE AS A PDF using the patch that I recently downloaded from Microsoft, the original PUB file CHANGES FROM A DOUBLE TO A SINGLE PAGE LAYOUT! I do nothing to it except save and exit, but the next time I open the file, the layout has gone...

disappearing messages in OWA
I have a user who uses OWA to access email away from the office. A couple of times this week, he has logged in and checked new emails. However if he logs in again later in the day, these messages are no longer there (he hasn't deleted them)It's as if Outlook/OWA is removing them after being read. What could be causing this and how do i get the messages back? Found it! He had the view set to display "unread" messages, so they were removed from view after opening. Delayed Message Delivery
All— I have an interesting problem I hope someone has a solution to. I have a user complaining that she is periodically receiving internal emails days late. I check the Exchange Message Logs for and all of her mail is being delivered within a minute of being sent. I am at a loss to explain to the user what the problem is since the Exchange Message Logs clearly indicate that everything is normal. Could there be a problem with Outlook 2003, and if so what? We use Exchange 2003 (Front End/Back End configuration) and Outlook 2003. Thanks… If message tracking shows message as de...

outlook bug with attached message
I have recently tripped over a bug in outlook 2003 sp1. Here is how I duplicate the issue. a) Creat a new task item. b) drag and drop an email message into the task note area c) left click, hold and drag the message, and then release mouse button. d) now the attached message appears like an image with the small black square handles in corners and on sides. At this point, I can no longer double click, or right click to open the attached message. Once this occurs, the message I dropped into the task is no longer available. It seems that the link to the message gets destroyed and now...

why would calculate change from automatic to manual on its own?
undet tools, options, calulation tab, sometimes it changes from the default automatic to manual. why? Excel picks this setting up from the first workbook it opens in that session. If you have a workbook that lots of people can edit (like on a network drive), then you may have a co-worker who changes this setting to manual (maybe on purpose--maybe not!). If you open that workbook first, you inherit that setting. So if you open a workbook that you know has calculation set for automatic, then open the other workbook, you'll be ok. (Or just remember how to toggle the setting and yell at y...
