Outlook & Domain passwords out of sync
I can log into the domain with my password, but then
cannot log into Exchange 2002 as it asks me to change my
password. When I then load the current domain password
it tells me it is invalid and cannot be changed.
If I logon using another username and then setup another
profile in Outlook it lets me in without any problems.
So there seems to be a sync'ing issue between the
Exchange password and my domain password.
Does anyone know how to get around this? Is there a
master reset I can do in the ADS User manager? The
regular one doesn't do anything to help.

How can I set up a password to limit access to a document

Any Excel or Word file can be given "password to open" attributes using(XL

Folders are more complex and require Windows XP settings.
The folder needs to be under your local profile, and you need to be using
NTFS to prevent access to others. Read:

Can I set up Outlook 2003 to ask me for a password when I

Thanks for your help !
Sure - just set a password on the outlook.pst.
Open Outlook, then click on OUtlook Today. Select options, then advanced.
Set your password using the password option. Remember that if you leave
your computer, you will need to either shut down Outlook or use a password
protected screensaver to ensure the best security available at the desktop
without third party utilities.

I'm not sure which version you are running, so I can't
give you specifics, but here is the general idea. For
instance, in outlook 2003, select tools, email accounts,
view or change. Then select your mail account from the
pop up and select change. There is an option in your
mail account setup to enter your password. Be sure to
click the "remember my password" button.

I forced my users to change their password last week, and I now have one
user who cannot use SFO and gets the generic "contact your system

referenced WhoAmI(), which led to me to guess that it was a cached password.
Changing the user's password back allowed SFO to work - confirming my
suspicion. The other sign is that with the old password, Outlook starts

I have Outlook 2007 and in this version it asks me for the passwords of my
data files when I start the application (that is, 8 data files --> I have to

With Outlook 2003 I was asked for the data file passwords only when I tried
to use each data folder. So if I used only one of the data files I have to
enter only its passwords.
Do you know how set up 2007 to behave as 2003?

I have a form which is linked to a query/report. The general idea is
that the user can fill out the form with combo boxes that have been
populated with items in a table, to narrow down a search with a piece

Therefore the user can narrow his/her search on many categories. If I
