Outlook & Domain passwords out of sync

I can log into the domain with my password, but then
cannot log into Exchange 2002 as it asks me to change my
password. When I then load the current domain password
it tells me it is invalid and cannot be changed.

If I logon using another username and then setup another
profile in Outlook it lets me in without any problems.
So there seems to be a sync'ing issue between the
Exchange password and my domain password.

Does anyone know how to get around this? Is there a
master reset I can do in the ADS User manager? The
regular one doesn't do anything to help.

Thanks

Outlook view setting
Dear all, Our staffs just changed the outlook from 03 to 07 version. They want to change the custom view setting to old style. But there are many folders at the folder list on the left hand side. We have to change the custom view setting in every folder. Can I only change once for all folders? Thanks a lot. Best regards, KenL Change the default Messages view template instead. Task Contacts and Categories -where did they go for Outlook 2007?
Two of the biggest fields of information on a task pane are contacts and categories for me. I sort by categories and I link to contact information (and sort). Where did they go? I find I can add the fields to my views, but other than that they seem unaccessable. Is there a new methodology to logging details into these fields? Are they hidden? I cannot seem to find the right terminology to get Outlook Help to direct me in the right direction. Any suggestions appreciated. Launching Outlook Address Book (GAL) from an external application
I'm using an application, HEAT Call Logging, that allows me to add new buttons and have those buttons launch external applications with associated parameters. For example, I've added a new button in HEAT Call Logging which when clicked opens a new mail message. I accomplish this with the following command-line argument: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe /c ipm.note I'd like to create a similar action which duplicates the exact functionality of clicking the Address Book button from within Outlook. By default, that button brings up our Global Address List. Is...

Exclude a Domain Admin from having admin rights in an Exchange 2003 environment?
Is there any way to exclude a Domain Admin from having admin rights in an Exchange 2003 environment? I need to be able to make it so they cannot add themselves back in to have control. This is all in a single domain. Seems to me you have a bigger problem on your hands. Sure you can remove the Domain Admins from having permissions in Exchange, but the problem is that you can't stop them from adding their accounts to a group that *does* have permissions, or changing the password on an account that has permissions so that they can grant themselves permissions. To quote Ed Crowley:...

Send Receive Errors
If you have been getting regular Send / Recieve error messages...eg. "can't connect to server" etc. in XP...and have been bashing your head against a wall tinkering with NAV and other possible fixes, try this simple solution... add a period (dot) to the end of your mail server names in the account settings for each mail account you have. For example: change mail.servername.com to mail.servername.com. I read this on another forum, tried it, and I have not had an error message in the last 5-6 Send/Receive cycles (touch wood), when I was getting them each time prior to th...

Outlook automation: Problem with RTF-Text in body
Hello NG, I hope, this is the right forum! I'm using Outlook 2003 SP3 automation for sending emails out of an SQLWindows program written with TD5.1, OS is WinXP prof. Everything works fine with plain text, but when I'm trying to send RTF formatted text all the format characters can be seen in the mail, although Outlook displays the right message format: RTF. I set the BodyFormat property of the Mail item to olFormatRichText and placed the text string in the Body property ( using HTMLBody doesn't work either). The text is well RTF-formatted, I can open it with different edito...

Import Windows Mail groups into Outlook 2007?

Outlook 2003 Focus Problem
I've noticed a few other people here with similar problems and I'm wondering if anyone's come up with a solution yet: It used to be that when I awoke Outlook 2003 from its nap in my system tray and typed Alt+3 or clicked the "Contacts" button, the focus used to shift immediately to the right-hand pane whereupon I could begin typing the name of the contact I was seeking and OL would jump to the entry. Outlook 2002
My Outlook has been acting up recently, now, when I try to forward an email, it gets stuck with the hour glass forever and the only way to get out of it is to do a Ctl/Alt/Del. Folder Bar in Outlook 2003?
In Outlook 2002 (XP), if you clicked on the currently open folder's name, the bar that the folder name was on would turn into a drop-down list of folders. You could then click on any folder in that list and Outlook would open up that folder and automatically close the drop-down list. The Folder List was also available, which remained open until you closed it. In Outlook Express, the bar I am referring to is called the folder bar. I am not sure what it was called in Outlook 2002. In Outlook 2003, we now have the Navigation Pane, which also contains the Folder List. However, there seems to ...

Outlook 2003 and the 3Gb limit
Most PC users don't have this problem but Outlook 2003 crashes when it tries to open PST files on servers/pc with more than 3Gb memory. This would be the case with terminal servers. So my terminal server is still limping on only 3Gb. Does anybody know if there is a hotfix for this problem for the other languages?
