Outlook to send group emails
I am having a problem that my ISP will only let me send out 40 emails without it looking like spam and stops the emails from going out. I am needing to send emails to our membership which is about 1800 emails. I know there are programs out there to use for this purpose and I do have one, however it would be wonderful if there was an add on or something for outlook that "fakes" out my ISP and lets me send from outlook or use a word merge to do these emails. I was thinking that there was something that shuts off my connection after so many emails or something like that. Is there anyt...

Text Form Fields
Not sure if I have posted this in the right area, but here goes. I am more familiar with excel so working with forms in word is new to me. I have been tasked with developing a number of forms at work in Word 2003 for posting on our website. A guy who left, and is now not contactable, developed a whole range of forms before he left. He made sure the forms could be filled in online by inserting text editable fields for client use (both the 'greyed out' section and dotted lines can be seen when viewing and completing online and the dotted lines auto-delete as text is inserte...

Outlook 2003 not retaining dictionary and message rules settings
A customer is reporting that a new installation of Outlook 2003, using a PST file that I copied across from his old computer, is not retaining dictionary and message rules settings. I introduced the saved PST by copying it in place of the blank one that Outlook created when I first ran it; I found that importing using File | Import resulted in duplicate Contacts entries and a duplicate Personal Folders tree structure. When I raised that issue in another newsgroup a few days ago, the advice was to use the saved PST in place of the blank one; is this the best way to migrate Outlook saved mail a...

Error "Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working."
I am runing Microsoft Office Professional 2007 on Vista Home Premium. All programs work perfectly (including Outlook) except every time I close Outlook I get the following message. "Microsoft Office Outlook has stopped working." "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." When I click on Close Program, the error box goes away. Other than the error message upon closing Outlook, the program works fine. I have run the office diagnostics and inbox repair tool to no effect. Any...

Outlook 2002 SP-2 Runaway Writes to McV4A.tmp, etc.
After installing latest Windows XP Pro and IE6 security patches and a McAfee antivirus update on 8/21/2003, noticed sluggishness in Outlook. Got low on disk space warning. Found McV4A.tmp in system folder C:\Documents and Settings\Russell Wade.RUSSLAPT\Local Settings\Temp that was over 7GB. Also creates McV5C.tmp, etc. Could not delete until rebooted even though I closed out of Outlook and McAfee Security Center. Problem does not occur, however, unless I load Outlook. Occurs when Outlook is loaded and McAfee is not. Performed complete virus scan with latest definitions, but no viruse...

Hello everyone, I have written a spreadsheet for some data and a chart to display that data. The data is over a two week period for shifts worked, sick leave days and overtime shifts. Then there is a button on it for the supervisor to email the XML data to admin staff. The spreadsheet and pdf form work well. It is a problem I have with the XML data. Once the orig...

Form code runs too quickly
I have the following code attached to my form - works fine other than when the form is first opened. If the third "if" is true, the code runs before the form is even open! Any way to have the form open first before the message box displays? Just one more small point - what syntax do I use to have the message in the message box show on two lines and also have double quotes around "Job Complete" (as I have just typed)? Private Sub Form_Current() If IsNull(txtDateCollected) Then Me.lblJobComplete.Visible = False Me.chkJobComplete.Visible = False ...

Outlook Rules Problem #2
Hi there, I am using Win XP Pro with Office 2000 Pro, all updates applied. During the last few weeks I've had problems with e-mails being automatically put into my Deleted Items folder, from one specific address for which there is nothing in the Block Senders list and no Rule either. I have had to disable the "automatically empty deleted items folder upon exit" in order to prevent these e-mails from disappearing into oblivion. Every day they keep going in there. I often use OE6 to create HTML e-mails and I bcc these in order to capture them in Outlook to eventually go into m...

Totaling cells from separate worksheets to master form
If I have 2 separate worksheets with individual cell values and want the total to show the sum of obth cells, how do I do it? Nelson Suppose those values are in F10 on one sheet and in G6 of the other sheet, then put this in the appropriate cell of your master sheet: =3DSheet1!F10 + Sheet2!G6 to add them both together. If your actual sheet names contain spaces you will need to include apostophes around the sheet name, like: =3D'First Sheet'!F10 + 'Second Sheet'!G6 Hope this helps. Hi, I am using Outlook 2000 on Windows XP SP3. I have set up three accounts in my Outlook. But when I print an email, no matter for which account the email was sent to, the header (the title above the line at the top) always displays the same user name (which is the Default Account name). Outlook wont synchronise on exit
Hi all, The laptop I am currently using runs outlook 2000 connected to exchange 2000. The problem I have is that outlook wont synchronise on exit, even though I have enabled offline folders and told it to synchronise all messages and address books. Also, a manual synchronise only works 25% of the time. It will look like it is synchronising, but when I get home and launch Outlook all the messages I see are ancient. I have tried reinstalling outlook, and even formatting the disk and reinstalling the OS but still I cannot successfully synchronise. Does anyone have any suggestions I can try? T...

Outlook
We have a user that gets a ton of emails with atachments for his job (corp project manager) and we are having a devil of a time trying to help him. Within a few months, his PST will become so large (reaching the 2 GIG limit in Outlook 2000. We can't use Outlook 2003 because we have Exchange 5.5 and our exchange admin is not ready for Outlook 2003) that we have to try to archive out his PST and create a new one for him. The problem is that he has quite a number of folders that he LIKES to keep when we archive his PST. So we can't simply make a template PST as he modifies the fol...

Unsolved Outlook irritation
On opening Outlook the headings in the Navigation Pane are truncated unevenly ie Inbox Ann says Inbox An ~ half the x is missing on Outbox ~ the l is missing on Junk E-mail etc. If I collapse the Personal Folders heading and then expand it the words appear OK. Shutdown Outlook and re-open, same thing happens. What could cause this. Not a big problem but it's irritating me now!! I have a screen capture of it if necessary Adrian Try starting Outlook one time with the /resetnavpane switch. See Outlook's help for instructions - use command line switches for the search criterium. -- ...
