Office Tools in 2010
I use Office 2003 and am accustomed to reaching for Office Tools quite
often. Are they included in any version of 2010?

Scenario: User's A,B, C, and D all have access to an excel XLS on a 2003
server. Users A & B have modify rights, users C&D only have read rights. If
user A updates the file, the general tab in properties reflect the exact
time the file was modified. After user A saves and closes the file, user D
goes in. The changes are there, but in the properties general tab, the

Is it possible to increase the *memory* of autocomplete?? I notice in the
columns that excel will attempt to autocomplete if the text has been used in
the last 100 or so cells (i think). What I would like is it to attempt to
remember , say, 500 cells back. Is this possible?? Have I explained myself
well enough? :-)

I have a few users who do not work in our office. They
have Outlook installed on their home computers and then
dial up to the internet and do a send/receive.
I have Exchange 2k3 on a Windows 2k server and the users
are configured to allow for SMTP/POP3. All was working
fine until earlier this week when they informed me that
they could no longer "send" mail. They get the
message "The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated
by your mail server. If this problem persists, contact
your LAN Administrator or Internet Provider".

I need Exchange support and therefore I am planning to buy the Full version of MS Office 2008 for Mac. I already purchased and installed (and have been using) MS Office 2008 Home & Student edition.
My questions are:
1. Should I uninstall the Home & Student edition before installing the Full version? (I assume so).
2. How do I make sure that the data I have already created in Office 2008 Home & Student edition will be available to me after installing the Full version? In particular, how do I make sure that ...A first look at the new Office Snapin for MSCRM

Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program, despite its similar name..

I had a severe system crash several days ago because of bad memory in my
domain controller (Server 2003 R2)/Exchange server 2003 (small site - no
extra systems). I had to reinstall Exchange 2003 and reload the exchange
store from backup. For existing users everything works great. Everybody can
send and receive email, the calender works correctly, etc. OWA works.
However, when I create a new user account in Active Directory Computers and
Users, the account is created and the new user can log onto a system.
However, Outlook 2003 cannot be configured to use the exchange server. In

I have a user with an Excel worksheet. There are multiple rows and columns
and they are all set on center alignment, (center alignment icon on the
toolbar as well as Format Cells --> Horizontal Alignment --> Center.) The
alphabetical characters align correctly but the numerical don't, as they will
only left align. Format Cells --> Number is set to General, so I don't know
why it won't change the alignment.
Other than the worksheet being corrupted, I don't know what could be wrong

I'd like to be able to synchronize an email folder in a particular users'

I am running Exchange 2003 on Server 2003. I was able to move all existing
mailboxes from my old Exchange 2000 server to my new 2003 server. Whenever I
try to create a new user it creates the user normally and asks if I want to
create a mailbox for the user. I check yes, and it says account created
successfully. However, the mailbox never appears in Exchange, no email
address is assigned to the new user, and I cannot send mail to the user
account either. If I try to access any Exchange properties from ADUC it
shows everyhting as if a mailbox exists, but there is no mailbox. I am

On my desktop I have Office 2003 (laptop has Office 2007). I recently
received an attachment in .docx format (2007). I downloaded the converter to
my desktop and opened the document. Now on my desktop (which has Office 2003)
I receive update notices for Office 2007. Should I ignore these? Hide them?
Install them? Will I still be notified re updates needed for Office 2003?

...Users cannot login to OWA after Exchange 2K3 was moved into different OU
I created a new OU named member servers, and moved the
exchange 2k3 server into it. After I moved it, only the
administrator was able to login to OWA successfully. No
users could login to OWA. I created a test account with a
mailbox, and was able to login to OWA with the newly
created test account. I then moved the exchange 2k3
server from the member servers OU into the computers OU,
and the newly created account was unable to login to OWA.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Exmerge is always a good option.
What I normally do is open their mailbox on my outlook, then create a
PST (name it the users name). Once the PST is created I copy the

I have created a user form (click on New Employee). How do I get the
information entered in to this form to appear in the correct columns in
the Payroll data sheet? And how do I get the combo boxes to display the

I had the office test drive in my new PowerBook that runned in Spanish.
Then I've bought the full version and installed it in my computer but
launches the app in English.
Then I explored the office folder in both the testdrive and the full
version and found out that there is a plugin (Microsoft Component
Plugin) that tells office to run in a specific language. However, as
this plugin also seems to contain the testdrive expiration date, once
the Office program launches, it closes again.
