Hello,

You need to setup the account as an "HTTP" account. When you select "HTTP"
for the account type, Outlook will pretty much walk you through the
remainder of the process.

Yes i'm aware of this, BUT you cannot use HOTMAIL with an @msn.com account.
it doesn't let you log in...
error message

Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server. Account: 'Hotmail',
Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol:
HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Service Unavailable', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No,
Error Number: 0x800CCCF0

You see you have a different http server, I would like to know what the
server address is.. I've done it before, BUT i have lost the address in my
move.

Forcing Distribution list to new server
I just moved to a new Exchange 2003 server following the procedures in knowledgebase Article 822931. This move was from one Exchange 2003 server to another 2003 server. When I stopped the Exchange services on the original machine, I started having problems with one distribution list being sent from the original box, not from the second box. I thought distribution lists were stored in active directory. How can I force this list to come from the new Exchange server. I know it is coming from the first machine because of the header information in outlook. If you stopped Exchange se...

ACC2003/2007 + SQL Server ADO or DAO
I have done a bit of homework on this topic and have basically determined that there is not a simple answer to my question but I thought I would ask to see if there are any new developments that would lean the community one way or another especially with the Beta release of Access 2010. outgoing failure and non-delivery messages from SMTP server..
Hi there, I have one machine that I use sparingly as a mass email server. Of the thousand or so emails that go out from that machine once a month, a couple of hundred of them are bound to be wrong or changed email addresses. The SMTP server sends out "Delivery Status Notification (Delay)" and "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)" messages, soon after the intial sending of the mass emails. However, when I turn off the SMTP server, or keep the machine off for a few days, then I don't get any of those failure/non-delivery messages. But as soon as I turn on the mach...

RPC on Single Exchange Server, not a GC server
We have all 2003 (SP1) servers, 2003 (SP1) Exchange environment. We have a single Exchange server (no FE) on our trusted LAN, but it is not a DC or GC Server--we leave those to our other server(s) as recommended. I've been trying to get RPC connenctions functioning, just on our LAN as a test, and the connections fail. The only thing that may be in the way is the "set the NTDS port on a global catalog server" task--but in our scenario this is not listed as a step since the GC is not on our Exchange server. I've followed all the steps in the troubleshooting, and when the...
