I agree this was a terrible change. Here's the only thing I've

Outlook 2007 arrange by settingsHi,
Is there any way to apply "Arrange By" settings to all folders. For settings
such as deselecting "Group by" and hiding the preview header?
Thanks,
ED
See this article - it also includes setting the default view for all
folders:

Changing defaults for Reading Pane and Arrange ByI'm frequently creating new folders in OL2003 SP2, and each new folder is -

Arrange By Response (Subject?)I'm using voting buttons to gather a list of responses from people and I
want to view the responses so that they are arranged based on the sender's
response (i.e., all "yes" responses group together, all "no" responses group
together, etc...). I assumed that if I arranged by Subject, this would do it
since the subject shows the sender's response but that doesn't seem to work.
Is there another way?
Thanks!

There are a couple things that you can try;
Start Outlook with the /cleanviews switch;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /cleanview
(note the space in the command)
Reset the Outlook Toolbars by renaming the outcmd.dat file to .old when
Outlook is closed.

I know this is a basic Outlook configuration, but my problem is that the

global removal of 'Arrange by'After I converted from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003, all
of my messages are 'arranged' by date groupings. I can
see you to switch this off for individual folders (View,

Thanks
You can redefine your Messages view for this or define your own custom view
and apply it to the folder upon first use.

Change Arrange by Date Grouping behavior in Outlook 2003I like the grouping feature in Outlook 2003, especially by
Date. The only problem is that as emails get older,
Outlook creates coarser and coarser groups (e.g. "last
week", "last month"). Does anyone know a way to configure
this behavior so that it continues to group day-by-day?
Thanks in advance,
JT
As of right now, the groupings that you see cannot be changed.

Outlook arrange bySo, here is what I want to be able to do.
As example:
1. Default is no "arrange by" set.
2. Message is located
3. Hightlight message

becomes the from address that was highlighted (as opposed to the top of the

Outlook 2003 Arrange By Bug? #2We have noticed on machines running Outlook 2003 that when you have a
particular e-mail selected and you click on the column heading "From", that
instead of sorting by "From" and starting the list on the first message from
this sender, the list is sorted by "From" and the top of the list is shown.
In other words, it does not position the display as it did in Outlook 2k to
the first message from the selected sender. This behavior is not consistent
however. It appears that it works the first time you try it, but subsequent
attempts don't. If you switch out of...

global replace of "arrange by" rule??Hello, I recently upgraded from Outlook 2000 to Outlook
