#### email date stamp

hello all
Can you tell me whether there is anyway to change the Outlook email stamp to
a different format
All emails from everyone all seem to have the following format
Sent: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 6:10 PM for recording when the email was
sent.

All emails I send use the same format.
A colleague of mine has told me that he can make Outlook stamp all his
outgoing emails with the following format:
Sent: 2006-08-21 05:28

Can individuals control this? if so how?

slow emails
We are using exchange 2000 sever. and we have one user on one machine that her emails take awhile to process, up to 3hrs possibly. She is running outlook 2002, with all updates as of 10/9/03. I have figured in the past that it was just the other servers the mail was going through that was slowing it down. But when she uses, another persons acount on another machine it runs fine. Is this and outlook/machine problem, a server problem, or a problem that is out of my hands? Or is there a problem at all? >-----Original Message----- >We are using exchange 2000 sever. and we ha...

New emails with attachments not being delivered
When I send a NEW email with an attachment to my husband, it is NOT getting delivered, however, when I FORWARD an email with an attachment, it IS being delivered. I've tried sending different types of attachments (Word, JPG, Acrobat) and it doesn't seem to matter. None of them (as new messages) are delivered. I can send the same message to his home computer and it gets delivered, it's just his work Outlook that seems to be the problem. My email address is on his list of safe senders. He can receive emails with attachments from others, including his home compute...

Hot Dates
Hi, I have a Year-at-a-Glance worksheet into which users enter important dates and associated actions to be taken. I now want to use Conditional Formatting to highlight specific entries in the worksheet when their date matches today's date. The problem I have is that I need to convert data from three independent cells into a date to compare it with 'TODAY()'. The first cell (formatted as a number) carries the day, e.g. 2, 17, 23, etc. The second cell (formatted as General) carries the month, e.g. January, March, September, etc. The third cell (formatted as a num...

Delay receiving email
Hi, We use Exchange 2000 and Windows 2000. I have recently been expeirencing intermitent delays in receiving email from two seperate domains. The delays are usually 3 hours but sometimes even longer. In the header info the delay happens at the last hop before reaching our domain. I have checked the exchange logs as well as the logs on our gateway but they do not indicate any delay once we receive the email. I am not sure what else I should do. Any help would be appreciated. Insert Static Date as part of Macro
I've built a nice macro, but I want it to insert the date it is run in an empty cell within the macro's range. When working within a spreadsheet, Ctrl +; returns the system date, but I can't figure out how to put that command into a macro. The macro recorder editor shows that the system recognizes the entry as the current date, not a function that returns the current date. The now() or today() functions are both dynamic ... they change with the system date. That's not acceptable in this situation. I need to seen when the macro was run. Thanks for any help, Ralph di...

How can I keep track of when (date and time) data is entered into.
I am trying to create a spreadsheet for a high school class. I need to be able to track when a student has entered data into specific cells of the spreadsheet. Any ideas? In the code behind the worksheet, enter (eg) Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) Cells(1, 1).Value = Now() End Sub This will enter in Cell A1 the date and time at which any entry is made in that worksheet. If you need the location of the time-stamp to vary according to which cell is changed then you can test the value of Target and vary the destination cell accordingly. -- Return email address is n...

zz report date truncation
We run only z reports at end of day. We will be running cashier shifts soon and would like to run z and zz reports the way they were intended. Is there any way to truncate the zz report date for each register without it running since the beginning of time and using a truckload of paper? Thanks in advance! This may not be the most graceful solution, but you could simply turn off your printer before 'printing' the zz report. Then manually delete all print tasks for that printer before turning it back on. The report won't print, but RMS will think it did. "TV hardwa...

Exchange 2K: Controlling incoming email formats....
Question... AFAIK (and correct me if I am wrong), Exchange natively only lets you control message formats for messages that are downloaded to POP\IMAP clients. For security reasons, I would like Exchange to convert all incoming\outgoing email from\to external domains, as well as INTRA-domain email , to plain text format. In other words, I do not want to see anymore html email on my server going in and out, just plain text. Is there a setting for this for Exchange to handle this natively? If not, what (if any) 3rd party solutions are out there for this? Thanks, George Here's the Re...
