Yes but that person at another computer needs to have permission to access
the calendar. To give someone permission to your calendar right-click
Calendar in your folder list, click Properties, then click the Permissions
tab. If using O2003 open your calendar, go to File, Folder, Properties,
click the Permissions tab. Once that is the, the person at the other
computer using outlook can go to File, Open, Other user's folder, and select
the mailbox name from the GAL. Make sure that the drop down has Calendar
selected.

When I create a "private" calendar event in the Blackberry, the corresponding entry that appears in Outlook does not have the private flag set. Our synchronizing is using the Blackberry Wireless Sync, and we use MS Exchange and a Blackberry Enterprise Server. Is this a bug/known limitation? Thats a good question. exmerge calendar send on behalf issue
Hello - I migrated an exchange box using the exmerge utility and have noticed that when a user tries to change an appointment that was on the old box and has invitees, it will not send an update as there is a permission error with send on behalf. This is not a shared calendar, just the users own calendar that was imported from their previous mailbox on the other exchange server. The only scenario that I can figure that would cause something like this is is the calendar appointment is tied down with the previous user and is not associated as the organizer with the new appointment. ByVal vs. ByRef 11-17-09
I guess I have fallen into the habit of generally passing values ByRef, unless I am certain that the method will never need to alter the value. Also I have never been quite sure what it means to pass a reference type ByVal. And I have never had a problem. Until this past weekend. This past weekend I was playing around with a TreeView representation of a directory and developed the code attached below. The code is very straightforward. A button click routine establishes the topmost node and then calls a recursive subroutine, Populate, to populate the rest of the tree. The ...

Calendar views change
Hi running Exchange 5.5. We have different computers running different clients. Problem is some clients are viewing events as all day while some are viewing it as having a start time and end time. So the event could expand into another day. The problem is not client specific and has nothing to do with how it was created. For ex. PersonA (running Outlook 2003) creates an All day event. She views it and it looks like an all day event. PersonB (running Outlook 2003) opens it up and the event has a start time of 1:00 am to 1:00am the next day. Any ideas on why this is happening? ...

Any idea to reset this, aside from creating an entirely different mailbox for her ? ...

Email forwarding #11
While looking for the article on email forwarding which tells how to do it using a contact, I found article 555187 which says another way to do it is just to create a contact, then give its primary address as its external one and a secondary as its internal one. When I send to the internal address, it goes nowhere (doesn't even seem to bounce back). I noticed in System manager, there is no mailbox listed for the contact I created. Is this why it doesn't work ? If so what did I miss ?? Also, someone told me there is a way to do the same thing in Outlook, is there ? Thanks t...

Exchange Calendar Item vs. Outlook problem
Our Exchange 5.5 (SP4) server has what appears to be a corrupt calendar item for January 20, 2004. Those people who have this recurring(?) calendar item experience an Outlook lock up (CPU 100% running process outlook.exe) when accessing their calendar for that date and when syncing for offline Outlook use. This effects Outlook versions 2000 and 2002. Because the item can not be accessed from an Outlook client it can not be deleted. Is there a way to delete recurring calendar items from a specific date in the private data store? Is there an Outlook patch that prevents the CPU utilization p...
