AOL - email to/from

I get the following message all the time when trying to
email my to AOL accounts - usually my family members from
my office OUTLOOK email account:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status
Notification.
THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.
Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.
[address is supplied]

.. . .then, typically in a few days I get another message:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipients.

      Subject:	The Public Square
      Sent:	4/13/2004 12:03 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[address is supplied] on 4/15/2004 12:15 PM
Could not deliver the message in the time
limit specified. Please retry or contact your
administrator.
            <sorendc.sorenwest.com #4.4.7>

Unfortunately, I, a 63-year-old sole proprietor, am the
administrator by default. . . .

This did not used to happen and I have no idea why it now
does. I look forward to help. Thanks.

I'm presuming you're using an Exchange server?
AOL has started rejecting mail from a lot of servers in an effort to stop
spam. Some reasons for being blocked would be -

Your SMTP server has no reverse lookup records (PTR)
Your IP is considered to be on a dialup or dynamic IP [1]
Your IP or SMTP server has been blacklisted as an open relay

For the reverse lookup, check out your domain at www.dnsreport.com; ask your
ISP to create the record for you, presuming you have a static IP.

If you don't have a static IP, you can set up an SMTP connector that points
to your ISP's SMTP server & add aol.com there...also might want to do
hotmail.com as I've heard rumors they're starting to do the same thing.

I would ask your email administrator at work about
this. We use Exchange Server at work and have
a "bucket" that this email goes to when there is a
problem. Your email admin will be able to tell you
what the issue is.

An interesting issue where one user logged into OWA on another user's system and hosed up the original user's Outlook Client. Problem: USER1 gets message "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Can't open certain emails
Hi, Help. I am a computer illiterate and ma having problems opening only certain attachments to emails. The error message comes us saying "OE has removed this unsafe attachment". I know this means that it is protecting me from a virus. Does it mean that the virus is in the attachment or the system from which it came? In other words, is it attachment specific or system specific? It's odd because I seem to get all the junk, but word documents such as meeting minutes and agendas from a city meeting won't open. Is there a way to remove this option? Or am I stuck with ...

Error sending email containing "autotext"
Any time an email is sent where the body of the email contains "autotext", Outlook 2002 crashes. All other emails go through fine. Bare LFs when using bulk email / reply from CRM client.
Hi, We have an issue where the bulk email or replying to an email using the CRM client causes some emails to be rejected by mail servers due to CRM not properly terminating strings with a CRLF. Instead, on occasions, the emails end up having just an LF which some mail servers will reject (http://cr.yp.to/docs/smtplf.html). This does appear to be a known issue with CRM 3.0. I have an EmailCallout DLL that will rewrite messages to replace any bare LFs with the correct CRLF. However when I try it I don't see any improvement. Below is the callout.config.xml file I have written. Is it ...

Attachments have lost descriptive text, which now appears embedded in email text

Now attachments are displayed as a list or array, of incomprehensible attachment titles. Within the text of the email there IS a list of the attachments. Outlook Express "losing" new emails
I hope someone can help, I have a problem with OU V5.5. I just upgraded to OE 6 to fix the problem, but it persists. 1) All my existing "Inbox" messages now show as unopened and unread. The problem is that if I exit OE then reopen OE, these new messages are missing from inbox. The old messages are still present, unless I open them and exit OE. At first I thought the messages had been lost but I have performed searches for the missing mails - an...

Email accounts #10
I just got an Office 2003. I have set up my account to receive/send mail (mail client) from my mail server. I run MS XP Professional as my OS. It is a home computer (for the family) so there are different log-ins. I am set up as the administrator. In my access I was able to set-up Outlook for my email. On that note should I put in my user name and initial since the software is licensd in my name or should I use...
