"Send To" Command not working with Outlook 2003

I can attach items to an open mail message without difficulty.

But with any of the Office programmes - if I try to use the "Send to...."
command from the File menu to both open a new message and attach the item
simultaneously I simply get a new message, with the attachment, I can
address it as normal but the Send button simply clicks uselessly. There is
no error message - just...nothing happens.

The same problem is exhibited if within explorer I use the winzip command to
zip and mail a file - all is fine until you actually try to send the
message. No response.

I am guessing that the problem is with Outlook?

I have done a detect and repair, uninstalled Norton AV functionality etc -
but nothing helps.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Paul

Still can't send to @microsoft.com or @hotmail.com
We are having trouble sending to @microsoft.com and @hotmail.com addresses. After 8 hours or so, I get an NDR that says this. I'm thinking it might be a reverse DNS issue, but not sure. I haven't noticed issues sending to anyone else yet, (I can send to and from my yahoo account perfectly). We are running Exchange 2003 on Win 2003 server. Recently we moved to a new Exchange server with a new IP address. I update our MX records to point to the new IP, and contacted our ISP about the reverse DNS last night but haven't heard back. Any thoughts? Thx! This is an automatically gen...

Distribution list does not send to all members
On Windows 2003 Exchange Server 2003, I have made a distribution list with some internal members, and a few external "contacts" with outside smtp addresses. In AD if I right click the DL and "send mail" it all works fine. But the aim is for another email address to receive the mail with Outlook 2003 rules activated, to filter by subject and then redirect that mail to the respective DL, which distributes to all the members. In this case, the external addresses do not get the mail, though internal addresses are OK. I have used this system successfully in an Exchange 2000 env...

Use Outlook to send to contacts in a query
Is there a way to set Outlook to send to contacts stored in a query (or a table) WITHOUT just importing them and doing it that way? I want to create a database, set Outlook to look in it, and have it send to contacts whose contact information will be listed in that database. Alan: Yes, there is a way. But have you explored, and rejected, storing contacts in Outlook and creating Outlook Distribution Lists? If you really need to store your contacts in Access, then you could use VBA code in your Access database to start Outlook and send and an email (or Mailitem as Outlook calls it). Y...

Send to mail recipient (As attachment) Outlook 03 error
This problem occurs from either Word or Excel, haven't tried PowerPoint or Access yet, but I'm assuming it will give the same results. From Word or Excel with the document open, select file/send to mail recipient (as attachment) we get the error "could not open one or more attachment" even from just send to mail recipient same results. If you open Outlook first then attach the document, then you can send the attachment with no errors. Has anybody run into this issue, seems to be many posts about this issue but no real fix. I first encountered the issue last year on somebody...

Limit the internet domains that a group or user can send to
Is there a setting in Exchange 2003 that would allow me to setup a group or user and limit the domains they send to? For example I would like to have a group that could only send to internal users and two other domains. - Create SMTP Connector, add the other 2 domains that you want all users to be able to send to in the address space tab - Create a SMTP Connector for address space *, implement Delivery Restrictions to prevent the users you want to restrict from sending over that Connector - Take a look at the following when implementing Delivery Restrictions: http://support.microsoft.co...

Cannot Send to External Email Addresses (Internet)
Hello, We have recently added a second Exchange 2003 server to our organization. The server is in the same domain, but a different Site and Physical Location. Approximately 10 users have had their mailboxes moved or created on/to the new server using the Move mailbox Exchange Task. These users can no longer send external email. Neither can any new exchange mailboxes that are created on the new server. The users receive "You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator". You do not have permission to send to this recipient #16
I just added several domains to our Exchange 2003 environment. I created a new recipient policy, have external DNS setup properly and we are able to recieve email on behalf of the new domains, for those users that have such email addresses. My question however has to do with the sending of email from these domains. Of course Exchange has a set default/primary email address that all email is sent out from, however I need to enable the users that recieve email from these new domain names to reply back to it from that address using the from field. When I do specify one of these email addr...
