Issue uploading calendar to server

Hello all,
Starting the beginning of this week, my calendar will not upload to the
server and update to everyone who views it. Everytime I try, it states the
upload failed, will send on next send/recieve, there was a problem uploading
the file to the server. I am trying to find out if you think it is an issue
with our server, Microsoft's server, or if I could just be doing something
wrong. Never had an issue before. Oh, by the way, I am running Outlook 07.
Thanks for any help.

Do you happen to know of anyway around it? The only thing I have figured is
e-mailing the calendar out everytime a change is made.

Until the server is fixed, that is the only way to do it.

According to the last update time of my calendar @ "My Office.com" (sign in
link in upper right @ office.microsoft.com) - it's been a problem since the
evening of Dec 17 (eastern time).

It's astonishing that a big company like Microsoft can have a server failure
like this drag on for such a long time. A few hours, I can understand. But
it's been nearly a week now! I've been bugged so many times for requests
that I log in that I've stopped publishing my calendar.

Without knowing what the problem is, its hard to say why its taking so long.
The Christmas holiday week is probably not helping.

I know they farm out server/hosting to several companies but I don’t know if
the office live servers are included. They do have massive server farms and
its possible that only a small % of users are affected and they are having
problems isolating the cause.

If calendar publishing is critical for you, you really need to get your own
webdav server.

I also have the same problem, but I don't think it's a server error, because
I can publish the calendar on a different PC using the same account. I am
using Outlook 2007 and Windows 7 on both machines.

Did you verify the calendar was updated? I get errors on all the systems I
tested it on, using Outlook 2010 and 2007 on Windows XP, Vista, and Win7.
The errors vary slightly by outlook version and os - from simple server
errors after only one request for the password to multiple requests for the
password.

One question: Has Microsoft acknowledged that they have a server problem?

Yes, they are aware of it and are working on it but no ETA.

Try this - its from my contact at MS -

Go to office.com and sign in with the same Live ID you use to publish your
calendar and select "Save my e-mail address and password". Restart Outlook
and the browser. It should now work for either publishing or updating a
subscribed calendar, at least until you sign out of Office Online and/or
LiveID.

I’m not sure what the secret to making it work is - it took a few tries
before it worked for me. I trusted Microsoft.com for both web and cookies,
set cookie handling to allow all cookies, restarted both Outlook and IE, and
deleted saved passwords in Control Panel, User accounts and cleaned out all
cookies (I have two liveids and wanted to make sure cookies for both were
gone.)

Microsoft has acknowledged this as a problem.

Please try the work arounds described in the following post

And then reply to that post to indicate if the work arounds worked for
you.

Hi, I have a table in MS access as the external data source. I want to add a parameter value, so I Edit the query and add [?] in the value field. When I run the query it does not prompt me for a value. However, when I put a valid value straight into the query (where I put the question mark), it does produce the required result, hence the query itself should be okay. Ultimately, I want to create a parameter query by using a cell in the worksheet. As per Office Help, I need to click on the Parameter Icon on the External Data toolbar to specify the value. This button is disabled. What can I do to...

Qutlook 2007 & Squid Proxy Server
Greetings to all..... We have a Squid proxy server @ our office to distribute the internet connection. Now we use Google Apps for the emails. I have configured the Outlook 2007 with the settings given by Google (Incoming - pop.gmail.com; Port - 995 SSL; Outgoing - smtp.gmail.com; Port 587 TLS). We are unable to download emails into Outlook. Now a few days back i was fiddling with the settings in Outlook and suddenly discovered that Outlook was able to send mails with smtp port set to 25 SSL (The default one). I tried this for the incoming server also but in vein. I need Outlook ...

exchange server not available #2
Running outlook 2003. when you start outlook, fails to login as 'exchange server is not available'. but the exchange server is available! Ran a ping on the exchange server while outlook tries to connect, it actually shuts down the connection as outlook starts. any ideas? James James, It sounds like Outlook 2003 may be failing over TCP/IP. So, to confirm this: 1. Can <all> Outlook 2000/2002 clients connect? 2. Can any Outlook 2003 clients connect (at all)? 3. If the answer to question 1 is yes, can they still connect if you only have TCP/IP in the binding order on the client...

How many Global Catalog Server needed
Hi, are there design rules how many GC are needed for a number of mailboxes. We have 16.000 mailboxes and only 3 GC, I suppose this is to less. Ingo As far as I'm aware, the current design rule of thumb is to implement 1 GC processor for every 4 Exchange processors. Obviously multiple GC servers are required for redundancy. -- Neil Hobson Exchange MVP For Exchange news, links, and tips, check: http://www.msexchangeblog.com "Ingo Huber" <IngoHuber@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E7D3431C-E5C0-447D-9116-4788D3A62904@microsoft.com... > Hi, >...

Need to open a public calendar (Office Calendar
I have searched and searched newsgroups but there is nothing about this. I am trying to setup a user to see our company's public calendar. This is NOT a calender found by opening someone's shared calendar via finding the person in the global address book. We have an Exchange server 2003 and I think this calendar was created there not in Outlook? I have this calendar in my Outlook folder under "Other Calendars" I already right clicked it and gave the new user rights to see it and edit it, but how do I add it to her Outlook? This calendar is NOT my calendar that I created. ...

Cost of SSRS with SQL Server 2008 Standard
Anyone know how Microsoft packages (and for what price) sells SSRS for use with a single CPU SQL Server 2008 Standard db? For various reasons, I can't use the ASP.net SQL Server Express with Advanced Services (free, single CPU). But I can't find any links that tell me how SSRS is added to a Standard SQL Server. Thx. Dale SSRS is not added to SQL Server 2008 separately, it is part of it: you buy SQL Server 2008, you have SSRS, just like you buy a car, you have a passenger seat beside you: you do not need it to drive, but you do not pay extra for it. Mail not kept on Exchange Server
I use outlook 2003on a laptop and connect to a 2003 SBS server running Exchange. I connect to the server from my laptop with the SBS remote connection software. I just loaded the connection software on my home PC, connected to the server and opened outlook 2000. I configured outlook for exchange and hit the send/receive button. All the mail came down fine, but now there is no mail on the 2003 server and when new mail comes in it shows on both outlook 2003(laptop)and 2000(home pc), but the mail is removed from the 2003 laptop and 2003 server and is only on my home PC running outlo...

Server not appearing in SBS Console
Hello, I have a single SBS 2008 Std server setup. In the SBS Console when you click on the Network button and select the Computers tab there is a section that displays Servers. The problem is that my SBS server does not appear in this list. The message provided is: "Unable to query for computer..." All other computers (desktops/laptops) appear correctly under Client Computers. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Regan Regan wrote: > Hello, > > I have a single SBS 2008 Std server setup. Secondary Protection for Windows 2003 File Server Cluster
Hi, I am trying to setup Secondary Protection for a Windows File Server Cluster. When I enable secondary protection on the Agents tabs, it goes to an enabled status, however, when I got to setup a Protection Group I cannot browse to the protected resource. It just does not show the clustered resource. When I now go back to check the secondary protection staus on the Agents tab, it has reverted to "No". I am successfully carrying out secondary protection for stand alone file servers off this secondary server, it is us the clustered resources that are an issue. A...
