Will .qif import be supported in M2005?

My CU offers download files in csv and qif format.
Up thru M2004, Money imports qif files just fine.
Does it still work in M2005?

I understand that Microsoft Money will accept a .qif file. The question is
whether or not your CU or bank will continue to OFFER a .qif.

As you probably know, Intuit is cutting off support for qif in favor of qfx, a
variant of ofx format.

We're the web-service provider of the popular small business system called
Jaya123 (http://www.jaya123.com). While Jaya will do all the order entry,
billing, invoicing, inventory, CRM reporting, etc., it does not do payables.
We have a feature that lets you create qif files of all your receipts (stuff
you sold and were paid for) so that you can enter them into Quicken or Money
or anything that will take a .qif.

Our guess is that Intuit is going to "claim" some kind of copyright on the qif
format in order to stop CUs, banks, and folks like us from creating them,
unless we pay a fee, similar to the kind of fee they are trying to extort
from these institutions for QFX files. (Quicken 2005 won't import a QFX
unless the file was created by a valid account... ie. one that has paid
Intuit a fee for permission.)

We're expecting to get a letter any day now from Intuit telling us to cease
and desist from creating .qif files (which won't work in Quicken 2005, but
they will in Q2004 and other software.)

In the cause of good taste, I can't tell you what exact words we will use in
reply to Intuit, but but it has to do with moving one's head to a very dark
place.

number of fields exceeds 256 when importing from a dbf file
Hey evryone, I'm having a small problem with importing some old data from a FileMaker Pro database. According to what I found out in the groups archive the best bet is to convert it to a dbf file and then import it. However, I the number of fields in the dbf file exceeds 256, so the import wizard truncates the import at field number 256. I would now want to spread the data over two sheets. However, in the process of converting it to a dbf, quite a few of the field names get truncated and therefore have the same name, so I can't use SQL to retrieve them. My question is: what i...
