Money 2003's Internet Updates corrupt causes shares transaction

Since Monday (20 Aug 2007), when I do a Internet Updates, my shares
transaction records appear to get corrupted. I observed that this seems to
happen to shares with a "split". I never have this problem all these years
until now. I would appreciate if someone can help.

This is the same problem that I am enquring about, and it started on the same
date. I do not think that it is corruption. I saw somewhere that it has
something to do with "Tickers" having dots or no dots.... But I can't seem to
find much more info, yet.

There are some shares with bogus splits in the data stream from the
new quote provider. Your first indication on download is that a new
difference, between what your register shows and what the broker
statement shows, may appear during download processing.

To work around this, look at the split history for a stock. Go to
the investment PriceHistory. UpdatePrices->UpdatePricesManually,
Look through the table and find the entries in the Source column
that say "Stock Split". The first split, going back in time, will be
identifiable by the quotes being suffixed with an 'S' for the price.
The first may not be the bad one.

Note the date of the bad split. It is not necessary to delete it at
this point. Click Close. Then UpdatePrices->RecordASplit.

Record a split for the date you noted as a 1 for 1 split. Accept
that you are overwriting the existing split. That should inoculate
you to a re-download of the bad split for that date-- at least for
some versions. Let us know how that works out for you. You might
want to post the symbol for the stock and the date of the bad split
data.

Your mention of dots would seem to imply that you are referring to a
listed option. Is that the case?

Also, could you post the symbol for the shares with the problem and
data on the incorrect split if you know?

Thank you for your help.

After doing the Money's internet updates, the date of split seems to have
moved and the ratio of the split changed. The original split was entered
manually.

The stock that causes problem is SMX (Australian stock).

Thanks again.

Other than SMX, it also added a split to NWT (Australian).

Do you know if it is likely that the shares with bogus splits in the data
stream be rectified?

Controlling multiple TCP connections from Outlook 2003 clients
I've noticed that Outlook 2003 clients can have multiple TCP connections to the mailbox store on Exchange. Outlook 2003: Most messages are moved to junk folder
