excel columns keep changing size
I have a spreadsheet that I want to print on legal sized paper. I have
5 columns that I want to be as wide as possible and fit on the paper,
landscape format. Every time I try to change the font size of the
text, excel automatically changes the columns size. ALso, even though
it says that the font is 48 points, it shows up as very tiny on the
screen and also on paper. What is going on?

I am working on an Amazon.com shipping confirmation

I enter the Order Item ID number which is 14 characters,
it displays in scientific format. I have tried general,
number and text formats. Number format works if there is
no leading zero but general and text do not.

Usually the method that works is to save the worksheet in CSV format.
Then import the CSV format into your database. Access will import CSV
and so wil a number of other databases.

I have installed a second hard drive (D:) which I intend to be a
backup for the C: drive. All I would like to do is copy the entire C:
drive to the D: drive on a weekly schedule.
I've looked into the Backup utility in XP and it's close to what I
want, but it makes a bkf file rather than a copy. This is not as
convenient for me (I'd like to be able to manually examine the files
on D:) also I read the bkf file is corrupted even with a single bit
error. I've looked at some other freeware programs but its the same

from another system (not a bank statement, my actual register transactions)

As recommended by an MVP from this forum, I open my CSV file with excel,
then use a converter (add-in) called XL2QIF to create a qif output file.
The actual "data" in a date field in my original csv file is "060106"

I am trying to save a form as a page. I opened the form, click on save as
and a box pops up that has the option to save as a form or a page. I
selected page than I get an error code that states:
"There was an error loading the XML data file'C:\Documents and

The easy way is to delete the symbol for the current "mutual fund"
and to rename it to Old MMF or some such. Create a new money market
investment with the proper name and symbol. Do a Sell of the Old MMF

In ADUC, click the Email Adresses tab and change the email address. The best
way to rename the user name is to right click the user in ADUC and click

I am trying to save all my email messages because I want to try to
install linux. One might think there was some way to export your email
file to some standard format, but alas It seems I can only export to
Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange from Outlook Express 6. Where
is the mail file located ? maybe I can decipher most of it with a perl
script or something if there is no other means. Perhaps a linux program
like one in open office can read it ?

I have 6 stores with Hq and implement Price Levels A, B and C for
different stores. Around 50% of my 20,000 items have different prices
for A,B,c and regular prices.
Is it possible or is there a solution out there whereby if I change
the regular price that Price A, B and C would automatically change
based on previous relationships like this example.
Regular = 1.00, A = 1.10, B = 1.20 etc. Change Regular to 2.00 and A
would auto change to 2.20 and so on.
This would really be a time saver!!

We run Outlook 2007. A user opened Outlook and received the message "Cannot
start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window." After much
research, the only option that worked was creating a new profile. The old
profile name was "Outlook". I created a new profile using the username.
Outlook opens fine, however, the user lost all their cached entries (.nk2).
I copied the "Outlook.nk2" file
