why now are all my documents shown as a paint file?
I click on a document and paint tries to open it and says it is not a valid
graphic file. I don't want paint to open it. I want word to open it and am
still trying to figure out how this happens and get my documents shown with
little text icons instead of the paint icon... in spite of this I do like

Once you convert it to Word, you defeat the purpose of using Publisher.
Convert it to a .pdf file.

Sorry, but if it was never saved there is nothing to recover. What you do is
not written to your HD until you actually save... Until then the document
only exists in memory (RAM) & simply evaporates if you close without saving.

in a split pane and I have to click View - Normal to view the document the

have you tried selecting the date. if its a an inserted (from Insert
menu) Date & Time or Field just double clicking on it to select it and
hitting delete should get rid of it.

I have just set up a 12 page - one page for each month - planner for 2010. I
used a wallet sized Publisher calendar format. I want my planner to fit in an
A5 sized diary so I need to enlarge it before printing. I have spent a lot
of time experimenting with the page set up in the print menu etc but am
unable to do this. Can anyone advise me about this please? I would also like
to know if I can change the format of all 12 pages simutaneously as I had to

I recently upgraded from Word 2003 to 2007. Using Word 2003 I used
AutoTextList to create drop down lists. After the upgrade to 2007 I found
that new additions to my AutoTextList appear in the document along with my
old items but are only the old items show up in the drop down list in new
documents even though it was saved. Below is what I have been doing:

I created a table of contents template with some special tabs and a title
layout, but when i create a new document using it, it overwrites other
documents that were created using the same template that are saved in the
same location. If the files are saved in a different folder they don't get
overwritten. Does anybody have any insight? (I'm using Word 2003.)
What you are describing is very strange. Usually it would be up to the user
to specify a file name, which would make it impossible to overwrite anything.
Does the template run code of some sort?

document. Each document begins wiht one column but half way through the
document I format the document fot two colums. This is true for all ten

load document 2, copy it to clipboard and paste it into document on on the
new page created by the Ctrl Enter. When I do this, the formatting on page
one changes to one column throughout.

I have never had this problem in power point before. I opened an old
presentation to update it (Professional Edition 2003). Photos I had inserted
were gone and replaced with white squares with red Xs. I tried to replace
the photos and saved it. When I went to reopen today, the photos are gone
again. HELP! Also, when I open the folder and point to the file I want to
open, the small "Details" icon still shows my photos as being there, but
they're not there; when I try to print, it's the white square with the red x.
