Excel 2000: allow users to edit ranges
I have Excel 2002 SP3 but another user has 2000 SP3. I created a big
worksheet but only want him to be able to edit 1 column, so I used the Tools
> Protection > Allow users to edit ranges and gave him access to that 1
column. When he opens it in 2000, he can not edit anything without first
removing the protection from the entire worksheet. When I go to his Tools >
Protection, he only has 3 options: protect sheet; protect workbook; protect
and share workbook. He has no allow users to edit ranges option. Was this
option not included in Excel 2000?

All of the sudden, the entire MS Office suite is yielding a "The font
[name] is corrupt and should be removed." It goes through my entire
library of fonts (1200+) and gives a message for each font,
alphabetically. Anyone experience this? I've tried trashing the
office font cache file - no luck.

Hi! I've been dealing with the following issue for a couple of weeks now.

The problem i have is some of these files have external links and when the
macro opens them i get the message "Do i want to update links" which also
pauses the macro until i click update or dont update. Is it possible to put
a code within the macro which automatically selects dont update if a file has

...Global Template Message Pops Up When Opening Word 2007
I just made modifications to the Normal.dotm file in Word 2007. Everything
seemed to be going well, up until I opened Word 2007 again. Now every time I
start Word, a dialogue box appears with the following message: 'The Global
template, NORMAL.DOTM, is already open as an add-in program'. My only option
is to click on 'OK' and then it disappears. Does anyone know how to get rid

Sounds like you have a copy of Normal.dotm (or a shortcut to it) in the Word

Question for helpful people: In Outlook, when I move, slecting and
highlighting with my mouse, from one mail folder to another (for example,
from 'Inbox' to 'Sent Mail'), I see the text synchronising Message Headers in
the lowest bar of the window, and the programme takes several seconds to be
ready. This is dramatically slower than moving around inside Outlook Express,
so I wonder if this delay is normal.
what type of email account do you use? It's normal for IMAP accounts.

In developing an application for Word which sends e-mail messages using

Hopefully someone will have a plan :)
With Outlook's options configured to spell check the message before sending,

Can we set the auto post GL and AR batch ?
Through macro I can set the auto post batch but for some reason if that
batch is not available than Great Plains post the next available batch.
You are experiencing this problem, because you are using
your mouse to select the batch. When doing that, GP
records the batch list position. If the batch you wanted
was in position 3, but no longer exists, whatever batch
is in position 3 will be used.
In order to avoid this, don't lookup the batch name.
Instead, type it in.
One other thing, though, is that if the batch that is ...XmlArrayItem not allowed on Root Elements
I'm trying to serialize a collection, which is the root element,
however the items in the collection contain derived classes, and thus
give an error without XmlArrayItem attributes. However I can't add
these to the field I'm copying from as its the root element, and so
they appear to get ignored. Now the obvious answer is to put them in a
wrapper and serialize the wrapper, which is okay, but I was wondering
why this restriction is in place is can you get around it?
Any Use ??
