FRx Report Date won't change

We have a customer that has a GP Fiscal Year of 9073. Apparently, an AP
transaction had accidentally been posted with a document date of 9073. So,
in order to void that transaction, they created the fiscal year of 9073.

Now, in FRx when they try to change the Report Date to December 2008, FRx
changes the report date to December 9072.

We've tried deleting the .g32 file and rebuilding the FRx GL Index. We've
also tried deleting the SY40100 and SY40101 tables, rebuilding the Fiscal
Periods in GP then rebuilding the FRx GL index but we still can use the
12/2008 date in FRx.

Any suggestions?

Elaine,

What version and service pack of FRx?

Are all the fiscal periods marked as closed on the Fiscal Periods Setup
window? If so, try unchecking the Financial series for 12/2008, then
rebuilding the GL index.

Hi Victoria,

All the periods are open for 2008. We also tried it with all the periods
open for 9073 and then tried it again with all 9073 periods closed. They are
on 6.7.7032.

Elaine,

Is this happening with just one report? Or all reports? Can you test
creating a brand new report with a new simple row and column format and see
if it still has the same issue?

You might also want to consider upgrading to a newer service pack - looks
like you're on SP 7 and FRX 6.7 is up to SP 10:
http://victoriayudin.com/2008/10/13/frx-service-packs/. I don't know if
this is something specifically addressed in later service packs, but I do
know there were a number of fixes and enhancements recently.

Thanks, Victoria! We'll try a new report first. If that doesn't do it,
we'll install the lastest service pack.

Hi Victoria,
Just thought I'd update you on how we resolved this. Neither installing the
latest service pack nor creating a new report worked. Finally, we just
created the 2010 fiscal year and that fixed the problem. Go figure!

Money 2000 Account Balance Changed Inexplicably
Opening Money 2000, which I've used without problem since late 1999, I noticed that my checking account balance was overstated by almost $2000! I went to the register to see if there was a false transaction entered and it appears that this balance change goes back years with no obvious single entry being the culprit. When I run the "balance this account" function, it shows that the closing balance from my last statement, which was correct and rectified, is now also wrong and reflects the higher balance. What do I do now? The only thing that I can think of is to restore...

Short time vs short date
In my form I have a fldOutOfRoom which the user inputs a short time into the field, i.e, 0900. I have the following code in the open event of another form called frmRNnotes: If DateDiff("h", Forms!frmPtDemographicNew!frmVisitNewEdit.Form!OutOfRoom, Now) >= 1 Then Me.cmdRNnotesEdit.Visible = False This code gives the RN one hour to complete a note and then he/she can no longer edit the note. What I want to know is the Short Time format going to let the cmdRNnotesEdit button be visible everyday within one hour of the of the original time? That is, is the short time just a tim...

Report to show Item Class Distribution Amounts
We would like to create a report, using Crystal Reports, that would show the following: dollar amount break down of the Sales Distribution accounts (COGS and Sales) per item class based on a date range. What is the most accurate way of going about this? We could only think of this method: (in short) sum the Ext Price based on SOP30300.CSLSINDX and SLSINDX and hope it matches the SOP10102 summed distribution amounts. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. With the SLSINDX you would use the Extended Price and the CSLSINDX you would use Extended Cost. You would probably ...

Changing language
I am running the Swedish version of Excel for XP and I need the US (or English) version. Is there a way to convert the language and all the settings associated with it? Using the swedish version is rather annoying since the formula names are translated to swedish. Thank you, Magnus ...

With and import tool can you change only item description?
Is there a way to change only the item description on a large quanity of items. What about the extended description? Thanks for your help. Use the MS SQL Data Import Tool by EMS. $65.00. The QSImport Tool available to download from Microsoft will probably work but is not supported by Microsoft. Kinnard L. Date Calculation
Good Afternoon, I have a DB which tracks training of employees. The grace periods allowed with the training is that new training can be completed within 90 days of the expiry date without changing the anniversary date (e.g. the training is due on 1 April 2010, the employee conducts the training on 2 January 2010 but gets to keep the 1 April anniversary date). The table I am working with is mainly based on the date of training and the training type (which determines whether the training expires on the 1st of the 13th, 25th or 37th months or if it keeps the same date); what I w...

Changing a profile on Microsoft Outlook 2003
I set up two profiles through the control panel and directed Outlook to prompt me for which profile to use each time it was opened. But now it skips the prompt and goes straight to one of the profiles. I need to restore that prompt, but it won't respond to the instructions in the control panel Mail dialogue box Hi Chris, did you get the same behavior after a restart of the computer? You could try "Sart/run/fixmapi.exe" (you dont get any confirmation message) and restart the computer again. If this wouldnt wotk, I would create a 3rd (test) profile. Maybe Outlook dont ...

Date function quit working
Hi, I have an Access 2002 application that I have been running on Windows XP SP2 without issue. I just installed the application (running in Access Runtime) on a Windows Vista Home Premium machine. Now, anywhere I used the =Date() function, it fails and just shows #Name? I also have a subform on one of my forms that has now gone blank. It also uses the date function. I had this problem when I converted to Windows XP several years ago and updating the OWC10.dll to version 6619 fixed both issues. However, everything I have read says that reference file makes no difference to the Access...
