Find the rank of a number
Pretty basic, but a cunundrum non the less.
List of teams and a stat beside them. Such as:
Team Name Wins
In a differnet cell i want to display the rank of team 4. In this case
it would be 3rd place, or third largest number.

We have several processes that we run on a daily or monthly basis that I am
trying to automate. Each one has a series of delete, append, and/or update
queries, sometimes as many as 15 per process. I am trying to find out if
there is a way to suppress the query messages but still capture how many
records each query impacted.
I know how to run the queries from code, and how to turn off the warnings
(DoCmd.SetWarnings False), but then I can't see how many records were
deleted/appended/updated. I need to see these totals to spot check them and

What's the correct way to fix an incorrect quantity that was transferred to
an invoice? For example, say we have an order with many line items where
half of the items were fulfilled, some were partial-shipped. When the order
transfers to an invoice, we realize that the fulfilled quantity was wrong on
one of the items. We can change the QTY Fulfilled and QTY to Invoice on the
invoice but how do we fix the order so that the difference doesn't transfer
again? Do we go into the order and enter the difference in Cancelled QTY,

A simple code (given below) creates a task thro' .net assembly . I invoked
this code via console application & found that it is running fine. It is
creating task in CRM successfully.

So it's an outline numbered / multilevel list, where Heading 1 has no
numbering, and Heading 2 restarts numbering after a Heading 1 is used.

I have Outlook 98, running on XP, on a PII 400Mghz Dell
desktop. My PST file is about 1.95GB. It has been
running extremely slow, and has had to be restarted a
bunch of times in the past 2 weeks. Yesterday, it gave an
error that the PST file was corrupted, and that PST file
need to have the Inbox Repair Tool run on the file, and
then the system restarted. I ran the Inbox Repair Tool on
the PST, and it did not work. I am totally unable to use
the file, which has all my critical contacts and emails.

I need to assign a unique number to a set of duplicates all in one column in
so columnA will has about 9000 numbers, some of them unique, and others are
duplicates of 2-4 approx.
I used to conditional formatting to show which are duplicates, but need to

I'm asking these questions because I have looked at a lot of stuff in the
discussion groups and still confused. I am fairly good at Excel programming
but haven't been able to get Excel and Access to talk.
First, I have Office 2003 Professional at work and Office 2003 without
Access at home. I want to work on developing Excel programming at home which
will get data from Access to Excel with either MS Query or with programming.

The info I want ...I am having trouble keeping numbers formatted in a Pivot Table
I have a pivot table that won't stay formatted. The data is formatted as
currency in the worksheet that the Pivot Table is drawing off of. It shows up
as a general number in the Pivot. I've tried formatting it in the Pivot but
it doesn't stay when I refresh the data. "Preserve formatting" is checked on
the Pivot table, so it SHOULD be preserving any formatting I apply to the
pivot table, but that doesn't seem to be happening. I know I could record a
macro to format this, but it is happening on multiple Pivot tables in the
same workbook and that would be a pain ...Report that includes Commission Schedule "Fixed Amount"

like to be able to change items that have amounts in these fields but need to

A batch i.d. number is not required. You have to post your invoice both in
the Payables module and also in the Financial module. I check weekly for any
"series batches" that have not been posted in my A/P, A/R, P/R, and Financial
modules. If they go unposted it can create havoc. I hope this has been

results using Excel 2003 differs with that of Excel 2002 for some cases.
How do I can uninstall Excel 2003 (and install Excel 2002) without affecting

Excel 2003 has solved some bugs/errors with statsitical functions. So I
would guess the 'new' result are more correct than the old ones
