Filter Data based on Form
Hi All, I have a form that is based on a query. I also have a unbound list box that the user can select a location from. The Locations are Seattle, Bellevue and Redmond. When the user selects a location I would like the form to only display the records with those locations. This is a Single Form not a datasheet view and this is not a subform. Thanks Matt -- Matt Campbell mattc (at) saunatec [dot] com Message posted via AccessMonster.com http://www.accessmonster.com/Uwe/Forums.aspx/access-formscoding/200712/1 I would use the listbox onclick event for this. Filter based on unbound text box with default value
I'm using the fOSUserName module to give an unbound text box a default value of the user's network User Name. I'm trying to filter a form using this text box value (Text24), as this value corresponds to a bound field (Anumber) in the form's driving query. I cannot seem to get it to all come together. I used the below code, but, when run, it throws up a dialog box which has the unbound text box's value in it. If I enter that value in the dialog box, the form filters as I want it too. However, I want this to happen automatically. Hope that makes sense....thanks for any he...

Form filter by check box
I have a table and a corresponding form with personal data and several yes/no checkboxes for years (checkbox for 2006, box for 2007, 2008) indicating the the individual is participating in a program for that year. I would like the form to display only individuals with the box checked for 2008, for example. I would like the filter to occur automatically upon opening the form everytime. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your design is flawed. You should NOT have repeating columns (in this case a column for each year). You should have another table which is a junction table whic...

Filtering Chart Data from the Legend?
I'm using Excel 2007. I have a simple column chart that counts widgets by year. There are 10 different sorts of widgets. My question is, is there a way where I can easily select which widgets I want to display on the chart? In other words, if My legend looked like this.. Widget A Widget B Widget C Widget D Widget E etc.... I would like the ability to select say, Widget A and Widget C and have the graph automatically update. Does anyone know if this is possible in Excel 2007? Thanks! Mike You could apply a custom autofilter over that range and select Widget A OR Widget C - the othe...

Filters #3
Help! I am doing a Rule wizard. I have created a filter and instead of going into the specfic folder I assigned it to it is going into my inbox, my folder I assigned it to and another folder that has nothing to do with it. I have made 5 other filters the same way and I am having no problem with them at all. Can someone please guide me into what I may be doing wrong with this filter? Thank you! Try adding "stop processing more rules" to the end of each rule. Possibly multiple rules are acting on a particular message, causing duplicates to be created in different folders. -...

Outlook spam filter not working with multiple users signed on
I'm having an issue with my Outlook spam filter not working if more than one user has Outlook running on my machine. If both my wife and I are logged on and have Outlook open under our separate user accounts then the spam filter catches 0 emails. If I am the only one with Outlook running there is no problem, even if others are signed on as long as they aren't running Outlook. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. Recipient Policies
We are working to deploy Exchange 2000/2003 in our environment but are having difficulty with recipient policies. We are currently running in Exchange 2000 Native Mode. Our AD topology is 5 sites, 1 domain per site. The 5 sites are spread accross 3 Administrative Groups (1 site in group 1, 1 site in group 2, 3 sites in group 3). Each administrative group has it's own SMTP domain on the Internet. How do I set a recipient policy to filter membership based on domain membership? Filtering Numbers
This is probably a very easy question to answer but I am having great difficulty. I simply want to filter a lot of data by numbers. For example I have a lot of pressure data with readings every second. I only want to use every hundredth point. If I try autofilter - custom- ends with- it doesn't work. Only works with text. None of the other number filters are of use. Is it possible to filter by row number. For instance to display every hundredth row? Any help would be appreciated. Filter form using a textbox
Hi am currently using MS Access 2007 I started off by using a template to create a customer database, the template already contained a text box which you could search for any text within the form and it would filter through several fields and display the contacts with the searched information. The problem i have experienced is that when i change the field names on the template the search filter no longer searches that field and displays a parameter box that displays the original field name. I have gone through nearly everything i can and have not been able to fix this problem....

Is there a way of getting the toolbar icon for auto-filter to toggle the feature on or off? It only seems to switch it on then I have to navigate through the menu (ok, not that much of a hardship!) to switch it off again. If you store your macro code in a workbook that is always open, such as Personal.xls, and you can use it in any workbook. complex compound filter rules for Outlook 2007 under Vista?
For years I used Exlife for complex filtering rules on incoming email into my Outlook inbox, but it doesn't seem to work in Outlook 2007 under Vista. Is there an alternative? At my peak, I've had dozens of rule sets checking every new incoming email message, each having between a few and maybe 4 to 40 complex compound conditions (e.g., or's of multiple and's of multiple or's). The main action for each ruleset would be to move the email to a particular folder for that kind of message (based on subject or body substring, &/or the sender, &/or whether I was to: ...

I can see in performance monitor that messages are being rejected but would like to check every now and then what sort of mail is being rejected. Auto-Filtering a Pivot Table?
Dear Excel 2003 Users, I created a fairly nice pivot table that feeds a chart showing the amount of hours for all of the different clients that a person has worked on. Management liked it but asked a question that left me scratching my somewhat empty head. Is there any way to filter out the "less important" clients - e.g. clients that were worked on for less than 5 hours? The data for the pivot table originates from an Access database, so I guess I could always do it there, but I was hoping that there was some way to have a pull down (similar to the pivot table pull down for th...
