The from address is blank in NDRs

Hi

Using Exchange 2003 SP1.
I have set Exchange Server to send NDRs to an Exchange users mailbox.
When this user opens the NDR in the Inbox in Outlook 2003 and clicks the
Send Again, the From address is blank. They want to notify the sender of the
correct address.
If the user then moves this NDR to a PST file and opens it there, the From
address is displayed.

This also happens if the NDR notifications are sent to a special mailbox.
If I use OutLook to open this mailbox directly, then the From address is
blank in the Send Again.
But if I open this NDR Inbox from within my Mailbox, the From field is
displayed.

I am using Outlook 2003.

Any ideas what is happening?

Thanks

Server-Wide Auto-Reply / Address Change Notice
We are in the process of changing domains as far as email/web addresses are concerned and I wonder if it would be possible to have Exchange reply for each user with a message stating something like, "This is an automated reply letting you know that the email address for User Smith is now usmith@fakedomain.org." I realize that each user could create a rule in Outlook... but we would need the rules to apply for a long period of time and that could be very annoying for senders... getting hit with constant auto-replies. Outlook changing SMTP to X400 addresses
We are converting from an inhouse Exchange server to an ASP's exchange server. The email addresses are the same, but of course the AD forrest isn't. For some reason, some of our contacts seem to 'spontaneously' convert over to X400 style addresses. This isn't a GAL issue - for various reasons we don't use the GAL. The people that get the entire address book get it from one person who types in the names into a PST file. That PST file, when imported, seems to switch from SMTP to X400 syle addresses, and on the new server these addresses are wrong. Due to the G...

NDRs generated due to viruses/spam
Has anyone come up with any way to combat returned mail that is generated due to viruses sending out from the spoofed addresses of legitimate users on your mail system? I have a user who gets quite a few NDRs due to "no recipient", "full mailbox" etc, for emails he hasn't actually sent.
