SMTP Error 452 4.3.1 Out of memory in Exchange Server 2000
After a successful Disaster Recovery of a Exchange 2000 Server (which is a Windows Domain Controller) - I installed Win 2000 Server + SP4, Exchange 2000 + SP3 and the Exchange Backup I get this strange error when I try to TELNET servername 25 and send the MAIL FROM:myself@mydomain.com 452 4.3.1 Out of memory The SMTP Service throws this error, but I can't find any hint in the event log. There is plenty of space on all disks and the permissions on "vsi 1" folders are also correct. Maybe an important hint: Prior to do the test, I installed the Trendmicro Client Server Messaging Suite for Exchange. After the "out of memory" error, I uninstalled it. Another possible cause: after installation I haat to use ADSI Edit in order to change the Exchange Organization name, which I misstyped. What is the file system of the disk on which the SMTP queue is stored? MS have identified a problem with the FAT file system. Convert to NTFS if this is the case. Customized Toolbar RestoreState() fails if it has only 1 button
This issue happens only when the numbers of buttons in the tool bar is "1". Thats is, the user launches the customize toolbar dialog and removes all but 1 tool bar button. I have multiple Tool bars which I persist on application close and restore on application load. Crash on 'Send"
My wife's Intel Celeron running ME started having this problem sporadically - now constantly. Outlook 2000 receives OK - everything seems fine until you hit the 'Send' button then Outlook crashes giving an error message that says 'Outlook has caused an error in <unknown> and has to shut down. I have an E2k3 SP1 enterprise edition server. Whenever I reboot, the IMAP4 Virtual server does not start back up. I have to go into Exchange System Manager and manually start it. This is a long post. Its that time of year again where I practise some disaster recovery skills. I set up a completely seperate physical network from the production network. We just upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0 this weekend. All client machines have had the desktop client upgraded and 2 have the same issue. Customized Toolbar RestoreState() fails if it has only 1 button
This issue happens only when the numbers of buttons in the tool bar is "1". Thats is, the user launches the customize toolbar dialog and removes all but 1 tool bar button. I have multiple Tool bars which I persist on application close and restore on application load. The SaveState() works fine as I notice the value "55 81 00 00" saved if only 1 button is left in the Tool bar. Crash on 'Send"
My wife's Intel Celeron running ME started having this problem sporadically - now constantly. Outlook 2000 receives OK - everything seems fine until you hit the 'Send' button then Outlook crashes giving an error message that says 'Outlook has caused an error in <unknown> and has to shut down. If the problem persists you may have to restart your computer.' Re-starting however has no effect. I have re-installed Office. I have an E2k3 SP1 enterprise edition server. Whenever I reboot, the IMAP4 Virtual server does not start back up. I have to go into Exchange System Manager and manually start it. We are running Exchange 2003 SP2. We setup an MX record for a external email(alumni.cup.edu) these mailboxes do not exist within our exchange org. But when we send email to these externals email mailboxes we are getting the following NDRs: #5.5.0 smtp;550 Mailbox unavailable. #5.4.0 Is there a way in exchange to ignore these email address so that we don't get the NDR from within our Exchange Org? This is a long post. Its that time of year again where I practise some disaster recovery skills. I set up a completely seperate physical network from the production network. Its got one Win2000 server (DC + all the Operations Master roles, DNS, WINS, etc) with SP4 (different AD/DNS root forest) and running Exchange 2000 with SP3 (same org name as production server, admin group, storage group, logical and physical database names, legacyexchangeDN, etc). Suddenly I am getting the following message when I try to close a workbook: "Your formula contains an invalid external reference to a worksheet. Outlook freezes after sending one email after upgrading 4.0
We just upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0 this weekend. All client machines have had the desktop client upgraded and 2 have the same issue. One is XP with Outlook 2003 and the other is Vista with Outlook 2007. Open opens and the CRM addin initializes correctly. As soon as you compose and send an email, Outlook locks up and you have to kill the process in task manager to close Outlook.
