Pb with a distribution group to send mails to contacts

Hi,
I use Exchange 2k3, I want to create a distribution group to send mails
to people inside the compagny (with exchange mailbox) and people with a
external mailbox.

for the external mailbox, I create a contact, I send mail to the
contact, it's ok.

if the contact is member of the distribution group, when I send mail to
the distribution group the mail isn't transmited to the contact.

I receive this mail from the server :
*******************************************************************************
Certains des destinataires ou tous les destinataires n'ont pas reu
votre message.

       Objet :	test groupe
       Date :	01/07/2005 11:56

Impossible de contacter le(s) destinataire(s) suivant(s) :

       CN=test informatique,OU=test,DC=xxx,DC=local le 01/07/2005 11:56
             L'adresse de messagerie spcifie est introuvable. Le
destinataire a peut-tre chang d'organisation de messagerie, ou bien il
y a une erreur dans l'adresse spcifie. Vrifiez l'adresse et ressayez.
             <grenadines.xxx.local #5.1.0>
********************************************************************************

if I replace (in the distribution group) the contact by a user with a
mailbox, all is ok

any ideas ?

Pascal

Are there any internal addresses defined for that contact? It sounds
as though it missing the target address (the SMTP address you want the
message delivered to) or its defined incorrectly.

Andy
the contact has only a externe SMTP address.
If I send a mail to the contact with outlook, the mail is transmited to
the SMTP address.

Merging Duplicate Contacts
Is there an option in V3.0 to merge selected accounts/contacts/leads that have been selected as duplicates? yes, from the Contact List or from an Advanced Find for contacts, you can select multiple contacts and click the Merge icon at the top of the list (the merge icon looks like two small pieces of paper becoming one larger piece of paper). When you click it, a merge dialog will appear and help you with the process. Sorry for the weak description of the icon by the way :) Dave "Mandy" <Mandy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:32468F52-66E7-4738-9148-5...

Send to certain person using specific email account
I send an email to a certain receipient but don't want to use the default email account. Is it possible that when I send to them (plain text) , that it will choose the other account I want to use to send it? Please advise how I set this up. Thanks. I do not believe that this can be achieved automatically through standard use of Outlook as you need to manually specify the name of the account to send from if different than the default. However, it would be possible using the Outlook object model. An Addin would need to be developed that monitored each mail item prior to sending. If the d...

Multiple copies of email in "Forward to"contact

Associating Multiple Existing Contacts to an Account, Until CRM 2.x
I have racked my pea-sized brain for endless days for a way to associate multiple existing contacts (or accounts) to an account. My client has accounts that have many contacts (or accounts) involved at different stages of acquiring a new account. The logical method would be to add a custom attribute with lookup functionality into the existing CRM contact or account objects but this is not possible with CRM 1.x. The resulting UI would allow an end user to associate different contacts (or accounts) to an account. Example: Account: ABC - AccountPhysician: (existing account or con...
