Junk Mail Clean-up
I use Symantec Premium Anti-Spam package alongside Exchange 2003. The end
result of Symantec's product is to dump spam into the Junk E-Mail" folder. I
would like to be able to run an autoamted proceudres that would kill any
messages in the Junk E-Mail folder older than, say, 7 days old. And, here's
the catch, I want to do this on the server side for all mailboxes housed on
that Exchange server.
I think that a recipient policy may be one avenue, but do not see "Junk
E-Mail" as one of the folders under 'setting'. While I can manually add it,

My company has mandated that our office move over to Exchange 2003. Of all
my research, I really only have one small question. That is, how safe and
protected are the raw mail files that Exchange stores on the server? In
other words, outside of using the user's password, can these files be copied
and read later or are they encrypted or protected in some manner?
I am pretty certain that the mailbox store, essentially the pair of a Jet
database something called a "streaming" file, are not encrypted. You should
protect them as you would any se...Difference in "Unread Mail" search folders?
Outlook 2007 - I have two Unread Mail folders, one in Favorites and one
under Search Folders. My default Email account is IMAP. If I click on
"Customize" on the Unread Mail folder in Favorites, the only place that it
will search is Personal Folders. If I do the same in the one under Search
Folders, the only place it will search is the IMAP account. Why is this, and
is there any way to make an Unread Mail folder that will search both
Personal Folders AND the IMAP account?
No. A Search Folder will only search against one PST at a time.

When charting a large range of cells, which have been grouped in sets of 12
for convenience and easy review, the chart using this data is blank. If I

Is there a way around this? Why can't a chart show the data even if the

I don't know what you mean by "grouped" cells. Are you hiding cells? By
default Excel doesn't display hidden data on a chart.
To change this behavior: Select the chart, go to Tools menu > Options >
Chart, and uncheck Plot Visible Cells Only.

we are finishing up moving all of our mailboxes from our old exchange 2000
server to our new exchange 2003 server.
I was researching the registry change you have to make to enable up to a 75
gig mail store with exchange 2003 sp2.
When I look at the registry for our exchange 2003 server I only see the key
for the PUBLIC store. The PRIVATE does not appear.
is this because we have not moved all of our mailboxes and so have not
removed the exchange 2000 server yet?

...Where to ask- running Excel from .NET?
I have been over at the MSDN forums and someone pointed me here.
I am trying to create an instance of Excel from within .NET so I can
populate it with some data and save it. All works fine. However, after I
tell excel to quit (which it appears to do), if I go into task manager, I can
see it is still running. And if I do the process again, I get 2 copies of
Excel in task manager. This is with Excel 2007 and Win XP.

I've converted my Outlook 2000 contacts to Outlook 2002, the address

zipcode in the state-field. In the 'All fields'-tab the information is in
the right fields.
I've migrated from Outlook 2000 SP3 English to Outlook 2002 Dutch. It seems

As far as I know, there is no way to do what you're asking. Outlook 2003
will always try to send via the default account for new messages, and via
the receiving account for replies and forwards.
