full mailbox permission

Hello all

Exchange 2007 sp2. If I grant a user full mailbox access to another mailbox,
can that user who was granted full mailbox access send emails as that user?
is the "send as right" included when full mailbox access have been granted?

No, it's separate.

You'll need to use the add-adpermission commandlet to add the "Send-as"
rights. This can also be done from the GUI.

Outlook 2002 and Full Header Info.
My wife is using Outlook 2002 and recently we had a need to see the originating IP address on particular piece of email and it wasn't shown in the full header information. I use Alpine (Pine) on a Slackware system and when I look at my headers, the IP address of the originating PC is normally shown so it would appear that Outlook 2002 is not saving that information. A search of the web reveals tweaks for Outlook 2003 and 2007 with regedit to force Outlook to save all the header information that arrives with the email but I have not been able to find such information for ...

Ex2k7 Mailbox move error..
I used the command shell to move my mailbox from one MB server to another, same site/org/ip subnet, etc. It seemed to be taking an awful long time and i wasn't seeing any progress. Finally i gave up and ctrl+break'd out of the shell. Now i can't open my mailbox at all. If i try using OWA i get this error: "Log in failed because the mailbox you tried to access is being moved. The mailbox cannot be accessed until this operation is complete. Please wait and try again later." If i try using standard Outlook i get this error: "Cannot start Microsoft Office O...

permissions
We are converting some of our databases over to Access2000. Others in the company are still using Access97, so, we are using the old system.mdw file to join to the workgroup. However, when using 2000 I cannot see the users or groups when looking in Security - Permissions. How can I get all of that to show up ? I cannot recreate the system.mdw for 2000 because I do not have all of the Group WID's or User PID's. The DB Admin has left the company and there is no complete record of all of this info. This was all dumped on me and I have to figure how to get this to work. PLEA...

defrag users mailbox in ex2k3 enterprise
Can anyone tell me of a better way to do clean up mailbox space on an exchange 2003 enterprise then doing an offline defragmentation. I ran it but it did not reduce the size down as it should have. Is it OK to assign permissions to a group during ForestPrep of an E2K3 upgrade?
Hello, We're about to start an upgrade from E2K to E2K3. During the E2K3 ForestPrep, we want to select a newly-created group to assign Exchange full admin permissions to instead of an individual user; however, during our previous E2K ForestPrep a few years ago, we only selected an individual user. Could there be any conflicts in now giving Exchange admin permissions to a new group instead of the same individual user as before? Sorry if it appears to be a silly question but I'm paranoid. How can I transfer emails in a Mailbox folder to a USB device?
I have a large number of emails saved in a folder in my Mail box. Some of the emails have files attached, and some do not. I want to save all the emails (including the attachments) to a USB device. You cannot, assuming you are referring to Outlook you can only copy the data file in its entirety, which can then only be accessed within Outlook. You could save the emails as eml files and save the attachments seperately "Harrinton" <Harrinton@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F90EC062-4359-42E9-96FD-F88EA6536F09@microsoft.com... > I have a large numb...

Purging mailbox data
We have recently hired a software trainer, and one of her first duties will be training users on Outlook. I have set up 8 student accounts/mailboxes/home folders etc. She will have around 20 - 30 minutes between classes to purge the classroom data for the next class. Are there any clever ideas out there for a quick, preferably automated way to purge the student mailboxes of all Exchange server side data (messages, appointments, rules, server side settings, etc?) Um - how about having all mailboxes in a single store, then dismounting the store and deleted the .edb and .stm files? That woul...

Mailbox manager cleanup agent skips mailboxes?
Hi, I have a pretty simple setup, a single Exchange 2003 server, single domain, only one Mailbox policy, it runs the Mailbox manager every Sunday, cleans up items in Sent Items, SPAM, and the Deleted Items folders based on age. It has run for a while now, generates a report to me, and a note to the users. Every week it cleans up about 400MB worth of messages. Lately, I received calls from a few users whose mailboxes went over the size limit, and when I look at the report, I find it didn't run the cleanup agent on that mailbox. I don't see it documented anywhere, but now it's a chic...

Rules in Error
I have a number of rules in place to reduce spam by permanently deleting certain messages upon their arrival based on content. But every day the "Rules in Error" window pops up with the message "You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation" and the applicable rule is deactivated from that point on. This seems to occur randomly for no particular reason. If I subsequently run the rule manually, the messages are then deleted. Is there a way to stop this? ...
