forwarding in Exchange 2003 #2

I configured the server (Exchange 2003) to forward a users emails to
test@xyz.com. It is very strange that all messages sent from xyz.com are
rejected (please see the sample NDR below), there is not problem to other
domains. test@xyz.com did not receive the message while the envelope
recipient (admin@abc.com) did.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email

Does message get there if you send it via the likes of Hotmail or Yahoo?
Do yu get different reply if you send to
totallybogusaddress174327565214@test.com?
What happens if you type test@xyz.com in To: when composing new message
in Outlook and press Ctrl-K?

It is no problem to other domains (no matter sends or receives)... and no
problem if the sender (e.g. aa@test.com) send to test@xyz.com directly...

The problem only happens if the sender's domain (xyz.com) is the same as the
forwarding domain (xyz.com) while the envelope domain is different...

Thanks.

Outlook 2003 and "Check Names"

When we create a new e-mail message and type in the first name of a person from the global address book and hit ctrl- k to check the name...we get a response that Outlook doesn't recognize the name and there are "no suggestions". The only way Check Name will successfully resolve the name is if we type it last name first (ie, Gates, Bill). This was not the case in Office XP or Outlook 2000. You could search by first name (or partial first name)...
