Exchange Web Access Issue - Login Screen

Hello everyone,

I posted a while back but looks like my post got lost. Anyways, I have
Exchange 2003 installed on my Windows 2003 Enterprise server. I have
exchange properly setup, and the Outlook Web Access isn't changed in
anyways. I'm not sure what infomation to include, so just tell me.

Basically, my clients can access my server without problems on a open
network, without proxies. However, when they try to access from their
workplace, which uses proxys, they run into issues. The initial login is
fine, everything loads. However, if they try to refresh the folder list,
create email, refresh the email list, basically do anything, they are
prompted for their username/password, and they keep getting prompted, after
3 (or 4?) tries they get a message saying that their login infomation is
incorrect.

However, if they let the connection idle for about 10 minutes or so, and try
to open a message, they get prompted once, and it works. However, the cycle
repeats itself, and they must wait another 10 minutes to reply or do
anything else.

I have no clue what the problem is, any ideas? I haven't changed anything
about the Outlook Web Access. No SSL, No certificates, no nothing.

Help!

-Daniel

Just a quick question first... These client PC's that are having
problems, I assume they're behind their own proxy and/or firewall, out
to the net, in through your proxy/firewall and then onto the OWA front
end.
Have you first checked access from the plain old Internet which would
cut out the other corporate proxies but left your own in the equation?

Yep, I had people connect from their connections at home (hence, no proxies
or anything) but it still happends at that workplace. Why would it cut out,
then work 10 minutes later? I really have to get the connection working so
that the workplace people can access it, without issues.

Is there any other infomation I should supply to you? I'm fairly new to this
newsgroup :-)

Exchange are good (in cases where access is a problem)

Anyway, to the question at hand. Are you sitting behind an ISA server?

Using Exchange 2003 MSDN version, on Windows 2003 Enterprise. No SPs or
patches on either, straight out of the box. The server goes through a
router, then onto the modem. Router forwards post 80 to the server, what
other ports are required? I'm not behind a ISA server. After looking around
a bit this seems to be a large issue, is there a fix? I haven't played with
the authorizations at all yet, should I?

Thanks,

Daniel

Exchange 2003 ESM and Outlook 2003 coexistance on the same client
Is there any convenient way to have Exchange 2003 ESM and Outlook 2003 coexist on the same client. I would like to install ESM on my customer service tech's machines but, as you may know, Exchange and outlook use the same mapi32.dll file. I have found a registry hack that will keep Exchange's mapping the the dll and not let Outlook mapi32.dll checking function overwrite it but it seems to break down every so ofter. For some reason it will be working fine for months, then ESM stops working and I need to reinstall again (possible due to Outlook security updates). Have any of you ...

Outlook Web Access attachment problem

If they receive the email in Outlook it will allow them to open the file properly with the Snapshot viewer. In researching this, I found that myself and two other people were a part of the Exchange Services group.
