...Two mailboxes for one user account after mailbox moved to a new server
After moving a user's mailbox from a Exchange 2003 to a new Exchange
2003 server, Outlook has listed two mailboxes with same name in the
"All Mail Folders"area. The Outlook profile only has the user mailbox
and no other mailboxes added to it. The user can send and recieve email
just fine. The mailboxes seem to be clones of each other. New mail show
up in the mailboxes at the sametime.
How can I get Outlook to only show one mailbox?
Any help would be appreciated,
...Front End Exchange 2003 OWA for a Back end 2000
At the minute we're in the process of upgrading our 30 odd servers to
Windows Server 2003.
The Domain Controllers are still running Windows 2000.
My question is :
Can I install an Exchange 2003 OWA on a Windows Server 2003 to connect to an
Exchange 2000 Server in a Windows 2000 Domain (Native Mode)
Do I have to upgrade the whole domain first ?
What about notions of Front End / Back End ?
We would like to do this to benefit from the new OWA (As it's sooooo cool
Thanks for your replies,

The same user on the 5.5 server can send to other users on the 2000 server.

flexibility so SBS is out of the question.
My initial thought was to have 2 Win2k domain
controllers/file servers and one Win2k3 member server
running Ex2k3. They only have 2 Win2k server licenses and
1 Win2k3 server license.
The problem is that they want to be able to use RPC over
HTTPs. I understand that requires a 2003 Global Catalogue
server. So, my plan of the 2000 DCs doesn't work.

I just installed Exchange 2007. There were two receive connectors already

Connector." If I want public mail servers to be able to send mail to my
exchange server, do I need to enable "Anonymous Users" on the "Permissions
Group Tab" of that connector?

Not sure if you all remember but back in the Exchange 5.5 days we use to be
able to go onto a site and put in the username of the person mailbox you
want to access, then a windows pop up would come up asking you for your
credentials. I was wondering if that is still possible to do that in
Exchange 2003? If so how can that be done?

Just found an article posted by michellec and I am faced with exactly the same problem - on 'activation' of the product, none of the 3 product keys seem to be correct, hence activation is unsuccessful!! Have received some help emails (and thanks Diana yours had the microsoft help number that has been good, despite the fact they can't help me and tell me I must get in touch with Digital River) but seems that what I need is another product key, and now that I'm asking for that since about 10 days, I don't get any reply ...Cannot reinstall Exchange 5.5 on Small Business Server 4.5
Our Small Business Server 4.5 crashed yesterday and could only be

I have migrated from E5.5 to E2003 intra-Org migration and chose the option
SID migration via ADMT during migration .
I 've notice that both source domain and target domain accounts have been

In addition, granted that I chose to migrate SID history what will be the

Done a few of those You could do an in-place upgrade but you must be
absolutely sure about your backups. For me, the easiest (and probably
safest) way is to do a new installation of 2003 and run the two systems in
parralel until all users have been migrated to the new system before
shutting down the old system.

Strange problem, not sure if anyone else experiencing:
We are running Exchange 2003 SP1 on Windows 2000 SP4. A manager came to me
and asked where some files had gone in their folders. I checked through
their mailbox, and sure enough the emails that had been filed away were

Does anyone know how i would audit what has happened here? i am not asking
